Good luck Eliot, would appear a good move on paper. Personally i think he will continue to progress and kick start his career.
So he remains a "Rovers" player!

Whilst I don't want to hijack the thread, what does Exeter's Assistant Manager/Tranmere's manager see in him that no one on the staff at Rovers did?

Wish him all the very best and I am gutted he is not with us. I expect him to do very well away from the poison.

This is my first post and going to sound a bit negative but I never got Eliot. On his day he looked like he could make it with pace, skill and a eye for goal. Unfortunately for the other 4 games in 5 the his body language and application was similar to asking a five year old to clean his room or alternatively asking one of our directors for an honest and frank conversation. Clearly a great player in there if someone can work ohim out.

I agree with you totally, was saying this throught the last few seasons where richards got a run in the side. MS said he has bags of pitential, guess we just never saw it for long

No surprise once one of his travelling companions from Bristol to Exeter and back, became manager at Tranmere.

One of the most frustrating players in my time watching Rovers. He clearly has talent and the potential to be a good player but he is just so inconsistent.
Hopefully a completely fresh start away from the area and at a new club will be the kick start his career needs.

Shock, ER looked disinterested most of the time. Same could be said for most of our strikers over the last x seasons. Add in O Toole, Carayol, Lines, Phillips, (plus more no doubt). The pattern is pretty revealing if you think about it. By the way, I rate all of those players......

Thought he was staying at Exeter? Good luck to him. Never fulfilled his potential here. Will be interesting to see if he does there as it may mean it was just him that led to his indifferent form.

This at least puts to bed the crap about Eliot already signed for Exeter so the club thought they had no need to contact him.

Great I will wait with baited breath for the first time next season when the ball bounces off his ass and goes in or he gets the foul that leads to the throw in then they make a sub that leads to a last minute winner.

As soon as DC realised the ERROR, he called Eliot to explain. The issue was put to bed within an hour right? Obviously, young Els was pretty darn rapid to get on Twitter though rather than make a call himself for an explanation.

Eliot was speaking to Exeter, Exeter said they wanted to offer him a deal, his agent made it clear that he was off. Simple misunderstanding. Also I'm sure if he was getting a new deal with us then he'd make us speak to his agent, not him, and try to grind out some money from us... Swings and roundabouts
