Slocombe 7.0 Made a number of good saves to keep the scoreline down
Leadbitter 5.5 Constantly left his winger with too much space Lockyer 6.0 Reasonably steady performance Sweeney 5.0 Caught out for pace with his tackle that resulted in red card Bola 6.0 Stuck to his task well and made a few timely interceptions
Clarke 5.5 Still not back to his best of last season Lines 5.5 As above for Clarke Sercombe 5.5 Not as impressive as previous games
Bodin 5.0 Not as imposing as earlier in season Gaffney 5.5 Unable to get going before his substitution after red card Harrison 6.5 Worked hard at both ends of pitch , would have been 7.0 if he scored penalty
Subs Broadbent 6.0 Stuck to his task well when under pressure Nichols 5.5 Tried his best but played out too wide
Ref 5.5 Felt he should have given a second yellow to their defender for his challenge on lines Crowd 4.0 As subdued as I can remember for long periods of game Wigan 7.0 Passed us off park for long periods.
A very disappointing performance again further compounded by the long journey up and back. Apart from a short spell leading up to the saved penalty and just after the team were sadly lacking. This could be a long struggle this season.

Slocombe 7 Despite conceding 3 he made some tidy saves.
Leadbitter 4 gave his opponent to much room, going forward lacks conviction. Lockyer 6 steady some great last ditch defending. Sweeney 4 sending off a little harsh but maybe should of let his man through to avoid red card. Bola 6 a decent performance but is either lacking urgency or sharpness.
O. Clarke 5 still finding his form, up against some classy oppenents. Lines 5 outclassed by his opponent tried his best. Sercombe 6 good pass and move again up against class.
Bodin 4 out of form since the transfer window closed. We needed more. Harrison 6 ran himself into the ground, penalty well struck thought he would have blasted it down the middle. Gaffney 5 did ok until sacrificed.
Subs: Broadbent 6 no dramas didn't look out of place. Nichols 5 needs a goal desperately disappointed he wasn't on pens.
Crowd 5 Ref 3 awful homer Wigan 8 best team I've seen so far. They lost Powell 1st half and subbed Grigg which probably saved a few goals. Their no17 Jacobs was absolute class and gave our midfield all sorts of problems. Speaking to a Wigan fan before game he said they had their last prem parachute payment last season of 16m, That's what we are up against! We had a go for 20 mins second half and if we scored pen it could have been a different game. All in all we were unlucky with sending off and they even scored from the resulting free kick. A bad day at the office, and the goals against column is starting to alarm me.
