Forgot about Sweeney tbf but even Sweeney and Broadbent, that isn't a partnership I feel would work. Too similar.
We will definitely need pace in the full back positions with them 2 in defence.

They would've scored it was sensible tbf On what basis was it sensible when the game was already lost? Leads also feeling his hamstring when subbed so it could be an interesting back 4 on Saturday.

Silly red card. Gonna cost Rovers some money in fines I suspect all these reds and yellows...there goes the January spending fund.

FFS - what was Tom's red for? Will it be appealed? Is it a one or three match ban?
Why are we getting so many reds - and in extra time of a lost match - bloody frustrating

Games aren't lost after 117 minutes if they go into extra time? We could've countered and got the equaliser. Let's just forget that and recognise the great shift our players put in tonight.

Good overall performance though away at a top Championship club and more than matching them. An unfortunate goal against but really 10 shots on target and no goals...not too good, 3 defeats on the trot now.

Lockyer was turned just inside our half on the right hand side and pulled their lad back ... long way out to be a straight red and not truly bright thinking once again from the skipper ...

We now go into the game Saturday with Locks out and Leads by the sounds of it. And on the back of playing with 10 men Satuday and playing extra time tonight. Worry about the knock on effect that will have Saturday. I would say DC would like to freshen it up but there's certain postions (defence and midfield) he can't really do a lot with at the minute.

I would rather have lost 3-0 in 90 minutes that lose Locks for Saturday. Exactly. And Leads injured. Disaster. Not sure if Partington playing instead of Leadbitter is a disaster. Slocombe Partington Sweeney Broadbent Bola

Does sound harsh. You would have thought the ref might use a bit of common sense - so near the end of the game, lower league team losing etc etc. and just give a yellow. I guess there is no prospect of an appeal - might just result in a longer ban. Defensive issues again - we/DC certainly need some help in the area.

Slocombe Partington Sweeney Broadbent Bola I'd rather have a choice of wing back and our first choice central defender than not. Losing both in a cup game we were going out of anyway is a disaster in my opinion.

Well Sweeney should be quite fresh after only playing 30 mins on Saturday and not tonight. Partington only played for a short while .Brown should be fresh as should Burn if he is required.
Midfield are going to feel it though. Sinclair may have to put his boots on again Saturday for a more active role. Broom may feature ?
I suspect Gaffney and Telford might start Saturday as EH and TN played longer than normal before being subbed.

A couple of people saying burn is injured, so it looks like we are going to be limited in options on saturday. Playing two left footed CB's isn't ideal but it could work. We also have menayese.

A back 4 of Parts, Sweeney, Briadbent and Brown would be seriously lacking in pace though. Especially with a potential weary midfield. I hope Sinclair can play Saturday that would be a massive boost. Yes I'm sure Gaffney will start.

Menayese is left footed too and although I rate him, it would be chuckig him in at the deep end. It's a real dilemma, as wth the lack of pace in defence, I wouldwant to play Bola but he's obviously played plenty of minutes this week already.

Thought we were brilliant tonight. Did everything but score. Bola was so unlucky to see his shot come off the post at the end of normal time. Hopefully we'll play like that in the league from now on! Fans were brilliant most of the game.

Losing both in a cup game we were going out of anyway is a disaster in my opinion. Leadbitter has been a liability, he cost Slocombe his red card, and there's no way you can describe him as a wing back, his crossing is absolutely awful, there's only ever one result when he gets the ball in the attacking third; and crossing is an area of the game that Partington seems very good at.

Partington Sweeney Broadbent Bola. to play Saturday.
Slocombe again, fanstatic in Goal made some really good saves. Bola also stood out.
Not going to be critical of tonight performance, we didn't let ourselves down at all.
