Slocombe.8.One wonder save.
Leadbitter. 7 .Did well going forward but allows attackers too much space.Worked hard.
Lockyer. 6.Did ok but done for pace on his red card.
Broadbent 7.Best game yet .Strong and mobile.
Bola.8 Superb and unlucky not to score when he hit post M O M.
Clarke.Got better as game wore on.7
Lines.7 and a half. Worked well always available, but one or two powder puff moments.
Sercombe.8.Quality.
Bodin.6 Peripheral at times.
Nicholls .5 Looks as if he can play but provides no goal threat whatsoever and simply too puny.
Harrison.7 Never stopped working in attack or defence.
Telford. 6.Nippy but only a cameo role.
Gaffney.7 Worked hard .Has upped his pace but we need him in the middle not on the left wing all the time.
Partington.7 .Looked comfortable and hopefully will start on Sat.
Moore.5.Unimpressive.Lost the ball once with a sloppy pass which nearly led to a second goal.Wish he'd try and beat his man rather than take the safe pass inside.
Crowd.10.

Stewards .Best ever.Sorted any hint of unrest within seconds.
We played really well but do lack strength and power up front.Much though to be encouraged by.Matched Wolves easily after a nervous start.Well done.

Slocombe 8 Very solid plus one wonder save
Leadbitter 7.5 Much improved performance shame about the injury
Lockyer 8.5 Looked and played fantastically apart from....
Broadbent 8 Amazing composure from someone so inexperienced
Bola 9 MOM looks a decent player
Bodin 7 A bit quiet and was well contained.
Lines 8 Great first half slowed down understandably
Sercombe 8.5 was everywhere
O Clarke 8 still a bit short of form but getting there
Nicholls 7.5 A few nice touches
Harrison 8.5 battled his pants off with minimum effect

How we never scored I will never know. The Wolves keeper was fantastic!! They passed the ball well but lacked real finishing class. Brought some big guns on (7 million pounds worth). Exceptional team performance by us, don't think they will have much in the tank for Saturday and no captain! Still against adversity we shall rise. Shame the snakey substitute scored for the Ted's!! Tweeting loads of rubbish about how fantastic he was! Nothing changes!!

My own opinions from the match.
Slocombe 8.5 One outstanding save that was impressive in that he got down low yet pushed it over the bar. Another good save from a shot that went through Lines' legs.
Leadbitter 7 Struggled for pace but defended well and got forward. Didn't put in many good crosses but got fouled instead. Their left wing-back was their best player and had the beating of Leads but they subbed him first.
Lockyer 8 Defended well and I'm split on whether he had to make the foul or not.
Broadbent 8 Really solid and ran the ball out of defence well. Didn't waste it either when he looked to be heading for trouble.
Bola 8.5 First impression of him and a really good one. His reading of the game was good as he stayed on his feet throughout and covered the angles well.
O. Clarke 7 Odd game in that he seemed to be flagging early on yet got fitter as the game went on.
Lines 8 Lots of possession in the middle and dictated our play. Floaty set-pieces though. Defied those who said he can't tackle by getting back and closing down a Wolves counter-attack.
Sercombe 7.5 Again, grew into the game and worked hard.
Bodin 6.5 Tracked back well for most of the game (was it his man who put in the cross for the goal though?), didn't really come off in attack
Nichols 6 Out of the game for long periods but had a couple of good touches and chances that he should have done better on.
Harrison 7.5 Led the line well and linked up the play. Nicked the ball off Wolves a few times, one of which led to Bola's chance.
Subs: Telford 6 Hit the bar, but not much else
Gaffney 6.5 Came wide left where he could dominate the right wing-back. Forced a good save from the keeper.
Partington 6.5 Slotted in well
Moore 5 Wasted possession on one occasion and didn't do much going forward.
Crowd 8 Good atmosphere
Ref 8 Maybe a bit harsh on Harrison but got most things right
Wolves 6 Started brightly but ran out of ideas. N'Diaye looked a good player at CDM.

Slocombe 8 Great game with a wonder save worth the admission fee.
Leadbitter 7 Grew into the game back to the Danny we all love to watch.
Lockyer 8 great presence and read the game well.
Broadbent 7 Solid and reliable, nice passing out.
Bola 8 looked on his game with more urgency to do well.
O. Clarke 7 ran his heart out
Lines 9 MOTM pulled the strings with his hunger to create and get us going forward.
Sercombe 8.5 has quality and worked like a dog.
Bodin 6 carried him last night.
Nichols 6 worked hard but no goal.
Harrison 7 worked hard some good moments but wasteful when the chance to win the game came by.
Subs: Telford 6 lively.
Gaffney 7 quality impact.
Partington 6 slow but good on the ball.
Moore 6 nothing of any note.
Crowd 10

Wolves 7 we could and should of turned them over but our distinct lack of quality in the final third shot us in the foot.

Results in and Marc Bola was Man of the Match with a score of 8.45.
Bola scored his first Man of the Match in only his third appearance in all competitions. In comparison, Lee Brown has only been MotM twice (both cup games- Chesham and Southend) in the 154 games he has played since these threads started.
The three highest ratings this season have all come in cup games. Sercombe against Cambridge (8.18), Harrison at Fulham (8.58) and now Bola (8.45).
The starting XI average was 7.40, higher than in any cup game since these threads started.
