He clearly bought out the best in the players and it's a shame that we'll probably go backwards now. Reminds me a bit of the end of Hoddle's reign.

The FA had the report of the investigation into his time at Bristol Academy in 2014, so why are they only acting upon it three years later?

The FA hate bad publicity and just wanted shot of him anyway they could. This was there only get-out. It's just my opinion but pretty obvious that's what's happened. You'd think he'd have a decent case for wrongful dismissal considering (i) it was admitted he did nothing that broke any laws and (ii) he was employed by the FA way after the report was available to them
I'm not particularly bothered about women's football or Sampson, but I do feel quite sorry for him. The FA has tarnished his reputation big-time so he's going to really find it hard to get back in the game.
I guess it's inevitable his replacement is going to be female. Unfortunately, it's always going to be a risky business with a male manager as when a player gets dropped there's always the possibility of a hissy fit followed by sexism and/or racism accusations. TO be honest, if you're a bloke you'd be mad to take the job after what's gone on.

my guess is this story would've come out, or one of the players was going to sell the story. So the FA have decided to get rid cos of the Aluko controversy.
