Its an away game at Portsmouth coming up so D.C. may take the easy option and play three centrebacks. Bola--Lockyer---Sweeney---Broadbent---Brown Bodin--------Lines-----Clarke------Sercombe ----------------Harrison------------------- I would be very surprised if Gaffney doesn't start - DC's rotation policy. Does anyone know why Sincs was sub v Wolves and then wasn't v Blackpool ?

For me Sweeney and Broadbent had their best games Saturday and it would be interesting to see them together in an away game. I believe that players should have to fight fo9r their place and not just slide straight back in especially when ; in all honesty; Lockyer has struggled at times this season. If Partington, Leadbitter and James Clarke are all unfit then why not play Lockyer where he has played many times before? I feel Pompey is a place we could go and win if we play our game rather than forever concentrating on the opposition. We have invited far too many teams to come at us this season. Sweeney had his best half a game ! Not been impressed with him at all this season - looks slow, passing dodgy. Just hope that being on the bench and then coming on and scoring is going to move his game up at least 10%. can't have iffy performers at Pompey or we'll get mullered again. Locks def back in the middle. Would still have Broadbent with him. Let Sweeney keep working on his form in training. Parts back at RB and Bola on the left to give the desired balance. People say Bola was great on Sat - I'd say good. He has a great touch but because he didn't fancy travelling with his right foot down the sides he kept checking back inside.

I was surprised at how lightly Colin Daniel was treated on Saturday. Here was the classic pantomime villain who I expected would be booed, hissed and jeered every time he went near the ball.
Has he been forgiven?
I wonder if he ever drank that bottle of knocked- off from Bedminster Asda's own brand Champagne the Sh1!heads presented to him?

In the long run he did us a big favour we should have gave him champagne

Parts had a bit of a shocker on Saturday, I'd stick with Brown at LB rather then bring in Parts at RB and swap Bola. No idea why Bola was voted MotM of the defenders I thought Broadbent outshone him. DC mentioned he only had 17 fit pros so I assume Sincs was one of those on the treatment table, unless he's just being kept back for Tuesday?

Saw Sincs training on the pitch about an hour or two before kick off Saturday so assume he picked up an injury?

MOM was definitely Harrison who put in a magnificent superhuman stint - amazing how he found the energy for the goal - ref almost had to help him back to the middle. Having said that I still think Gaffney should be employed to soak up all the early opposition defense and run them ragged and then release Harrison for a later rampant effort which he is super at. And at last two big men at centre back - keep them and allow them to flourish As for DC - it seems to me his all to often changes is a combination of trying to keep everybody happy and giving the opposition too much respect. Give our players a chance to impose their full potential and pick a settled team unless injury or loss of form forces change. And we have loanees from a higher division - play them all.

It's a matter of comparrison You mean compared to what he normally does? If Ellis could consistently perform to Saturday's standard we would have one hell of a player. It would only be a matter of time before the Sh1t came sniffing. He was immense on Saturday. Several times in the last few minutes he was back defending as if his life depended on it. A first class performance. More of the same please.

I find it strange that one poster says "dc should so some bottle" another saying he will "take the easy option" with regards to centre-back options. They must surely be talking about a previous manager? For me dc always picks the team he wants to pick for any given match. The reason lockyer has played virtually every game under dc is that he rates him very highly, simple as that imo. D.C. may take the easy option. Not "he will take the easy option" Big difference.
It is an easy option.....team that leaks goals...has a poor away record. Gets caught out on counter attacks when wide defenders push forward. Three central defenders may give better cover. But doesn't compromise his attacking ability as the midfield is mostly attack minded and all capable of scoring goals.

He will just take his own option without any interest as to whether its an easy option or not.
