They're both in the op's list but David Williams and Mickey Barrett were absolute class.

Was that Andrew Evans? Or am I getting confused with Micky Barret? Yep Andrew Evans a great little player, I can still see that horrible tackle now dirty bastard! Agree that Andrew Evans was a really promising winger until that tackle cut his career short. I do remember the foul and the long time to get Andrew off the pitch, but I don't remember the culprit. Was this the game or was it the year after? I can't remember. Peach and Gilchrist in this side. Pickering was a particuarly dirty barsteward, but didn't join Saints til the season after.

Wasn't everyone's favourite and was a bit of a luxury player at times, but always thought Jeff Hughes had a touch of class about him.
Not sure he was a winger, think he'd have played better in a more central role, but he was very assured, calm and silky on the ball at times.
Scored a few cracking goals too. Great left foot on him.

Martin Thomas. The best keeper to appear in a Rovers shirt.

As a kid I thought Andrew Evans our Welsh winger was immense, career ruined by injury. I got Andrew Evans on my original draft list. He was good. Didn't he get his ankle broken in a tackle with Steve Williams of Southampton, at Eastville ?

Rickie Lambert...who can forget his strike at Luton bringing the ball down from god knows how high to slam it in the net from 30 yards. Not seen that goal in years. Superb

Alongside Frankie Prince would sort out central midfield.
