so why am i the only person thinking that was a poor performance again..
Why is Brown on the field... because we wanted to not overplay our young Arsenal player... Ok what about Sweeney ? When we going to drop him and not over play him ?

Henbury, Whilst I don't think we were brilliant I think we played well enough to make Plymouth look poor for long periods and remember this was a Plymouth side who last Tuesday night only lost to a late goal at Wigan so they can't be that bad. I criticise when we are poor but willing to praise where due. Sometimes you make the opposition look a lot worse than they are by how you play.

Hi Steve, i agree with what you are saying but i think the missing link is a leader in the middle of the park. Somebody like Mans would be a great help to this team

Also we have to factor in that we had played 210 minutes more than Plymouth over the last month and are down to the bare bones of the squad. I think there is a lot of cause for optimism. We're not far away but clearly have a couple of areas in which we need to tighten up.

Northampton and Oxford will be great signals for how we're going so far, 6 points would be a warning shot across the bows that we're up for it, even 4 points would be great.

Somebody like Mans would be a great help to this team I wouldn't disagree that we may have lacked a leader in the middle of the park but that does not make the performance on Saturday a bad one! On another day Sercombe could have had a Garrick (did lines actually head his shot off their line, it looked like that?) Nichols could and should have broken his duck, Harrison and Bodin could have added, so bad performance, no. We need to start worrying when we aren't creating half a dozen or more decent chances per game.

Great report, I watch the same kind of game as Steve.
I can't remember another centre half since Byron Anthony who makes so many mistakes most weeks and continues to play let alone be captain.
Tom is just in the side because he has no true right sided competition for his place which the manager likes, personally I would play two left footers at centre back.

Henbury, I agree with you about a leader but personally would like to see three leaders and a winger in January- centre half,Central midfielder and a strong striker. Experience and pace is the key to January window and the only way we will improve on last season. No more excuses from DC irrespective of our position in January.

Somebody like Mans would be a great help to this team For me, that really is the glaring gap. I think our defence is fine, but it gets exposed by the midfield. I like Ollie Clark, but he shouldn't be playing every game right now, in what is probably the most important position in the team.
