Couldn't care less about Catalunia and Espana. The sooner we stop paying money (our taxes) via Brussels to these tinpot countries the better. They've had years of living off us and show no sign of change. Change is what it's all about - and the sooner the twits in the EU HQ get their heads around that too the quicker they'll move the EU forward.

I see the unilateral declaration of independence went according to plan.
Seems to me that both sides called the other's bluff and nobody won. The next election will be interesting, if unionists win then what? If secessionists win then it is a legitimate election so we are back where we started except sides will be even more entrenched.

What an inspiring leader for the Catalans, Carles Puigdemont is proving to be. He helped engineer this referendum, encouraged the people to vote "leave", which they duly did, and now he`s frantically backing away from the result. And now, he`s f**ked off to Belgium. It`s almost as if he wanted to stir up trouble, simply for the sake of it. |

Presumably they are different people but their source/sources could be the same person/people. As I said in the other thread, I have no contact with the club so cannot refute their statements. I've seen nothing so far to make me worried as all the points and concerns raised can be explained. Doesn't stop me from being disappointed by the pace of change but the levels of debate are bordering on the depressive (for me to read that is). I normally come on here to cheer myself up but since the UWE collapse it has been worse on here. Anyway, off to work now. Just have to avoid the picket line outside my offices. |
