With regards to the recruitment by dc its interesting to see how technically good partington, bola, sercombe and nichols are at this level. Dc loves his workhorse soldiers who have got the team into league 1 but its clear hes added some class to the mix. I thought you were saying a week or so ago we'd be lucky to finish in the top 15 with the budget DC had been given, how's he manage to add "some class" with such a small budget? Sheed. UTG!

By all means reply to that message where i said that to prove your case. Ive made the case that in my view the owners didnt give the manager the budget he wanted. Ive also argued that this season could to difficult after the team has come so far in a short space of time. Maybe dc will over achieve again? hope so

How can you watch that interview and not think it excruciating? I don't think the questions were unreasonable - and DC just took the water. Why can't he just be happy like all the rest of us? It looked like a great team performance to me - so celebrate it. Thing is dc is impulsive, emotional and very passionate, hes not a bloody diplomat by any means but i dont care. I had a 10 minute conversation with him at half time during a recent development game and he was very candid and open to debate. So much better than platitudes and sound bites every time for me. How candid was he? Did he mention the board, and their willingness ( or not ) to invest money in players, training ground etc?

Ive been to 2 home development games this season and the intensity of the play and at times the quality is pretty high. Its lots of young men who can play and are desperate to impress and make the grade.

Well as ive said before a top 15 finish would be a good achievement after 2 promotions and a need to at least partially rebuild the team with a modest budget. Were on course for that so far and we have already seen development squad players getting game time.

hes added better players but we’re nowhere near a top 6 team, the last 2 games we’ve played relegation fodder so I won’t be getting excited till we start beating the better sides What, like Fleetwood?

Don't give a F##k what Posh fans tweet, what does is when dicks on here who didn't go, start slagging TN off. He was class today, and his vision with the cross field passes was brilliant. The goal will come, but I don't care how far off it is if he continues to drive us forward like he did today. I didn't slag him off. I suggested he doesn't get involved in twitter nonsense until he starts scoring. Sorry Hugo. Not aimed at you, but re read the thread and it's obvious who it's aimed at. Your comments were totally appropriate.

You sure he hasn't been told not to score because the Al Qadis can't afford to pay his goal bonus? Many a true word LJG.

When we do what will you say then, by 6 or more? Last season if we had beaten the bottom 6 as we should have done we could well be a championship team now. We need to maintain our home record and get about 8 away wins. I don't care if it's top or bottom clubs. Just get the bloody wins. In fairness to DC who I also thought was over the top yesterday in his comments, he dedicated that one to the away fans. I can assure you that resonated with me. Over the last two years, we have seen plenty of crap, but yesterday's result was one to particularly enjoy. I completely forgot about the capitulations at Pompey and Wigan etc.

He knew it wouldn't rival the top 5 or 6, so was happy with what he was given. So much so, that just before the window shut, he was looking to sign a certain gentleman from Pompey, and was told he could buy him if he wished. He finally decided for whatever reason not to do so. I think the big problem with DC is that he doesnt have extensive knowledge of players at our current level and upwards. It's ok finding jewels at National League level, as he has operated in that sphere for a long time. As we move up the leagues, he needs a proper scouting set up that can help him. And of course the nerve to spend. He has done ok in that regard so far, it now remains to see if he can do so as we hopefully go higher and higher.

Actually, re-reading I may have been a little harsh also as it would appear that the Twitter stuff was one way but I'm old and think the time to tweet is when you've bagged a brace not when you've missed a pen!!
