I can understand the changes in a way.
He is trying something different away from home, let's be honest it's not like our old system was hugely successful.
Martin dropped as he isn't a wing back.
Monkhouse up top instead of Cunnington is odd, unless AC is carrying a knock?
EDIT: No Balanta on bench? Peculiar?

Colombian not even on the bench? Must be really unfit.

Like the look of the team, and would have done the same personally. I don't think we have as much threat going forwards playing 3-5-2, but it makes us more solid IMO and that may not be a bad way to go away from home with our terrible away record.
I imagine the emphasis will be on staying solid, keeping ourselves in the game, and trying to score from a set piece or on the break.
Harrison, Cunnington and Martin available to come off the bench and change it up if needs be.

I don't like changing winning teams unless somebody who clearly deserves a start was missing through suspension or other unavailability. It contradicts the winning mentality and breaks up the relationships. Different players should be introduced during the game as and when required.
That being said, I am not a football coach so???

Maybe a mutant half brother but their South stand is better and their West stand is a proper football stand, unlike our odd looking legacy.

Monkhouse was often used as a target man for 'Pool last season, I'm guessing that 3 games in 7 games is a little bit much for Cunnington to perform at optimum level.
Needed to do something different away from home, it's a long time ago but 5-3-2 looked solid against Coventry.

Well I'm glad I didn't pay three quid for that. So Concorde was built in Bristol then. But free garlic bread if you send over ten pound's all right. the MP looks like a lady garden, but then they all do.

It's a very negative set up and I have a feeling the game is going to be a draw. Whilst I wouldn't take a point, I guess it would be progress from our previous away from. Just hope we put up a fight away today regardless of the result.

Cheers CG, hope Leadbitter goes RB and Lockyer moves central, that will encourage me! Bugger, just seen your edit, i was impressed with Martin on Tuesday! Really disappointed that Martin isn't playing - for me the only forward we've got with pace and gives us balance on the left being left-footed. Cunnington's also looked good. Sorry everyone - I have bad vibes

Just hope we put up a fight away today regardless of the result. Hoping for a win, but a draw really wouldn't be the end of the world provided we win the next two games at home. I'm feeling like it'll be a narrow loss at the moment, 1-0 in the 95th minute or something ridiculous.

Well we've been atrocious at 'limiting damage' away from home for the last 4/5 seasons, so if we get a point today, we'll have done it better than we've done it in 90% of the other away games during that period.

On the plus side I feel that all 3 attacking players on the bench are capable of making an impact if called upon. If we are losing then I could see him bringing 2 or 3 on at once.
