Gutted FT 1-0 - caught on the break in a game we so should have won Not sure we should have won it. I'd have taken a draw on that performance. They wanted it more than us today. Have to say I'm not sure why Oxford get so excited about beating us. They're no more of a rival to me than Forest Green. Yet their number 8 started giving the Blackthorn abuse after FT.

True, but it doesn't sound as if we were awful today, and 2/3 of the teams in the division probably can say the same about consistency. The remaining third are either at the top or at the bottom. Early days. If we can get a result at Shrewsbury on Tuesday the outlook will look better again.

I thought it was a good game between two sides who have both got aspirations of a play off place and in today's showing I think we'll finish top half again this season with our current squad. If we can make two or three good signings in January then we've got a chance of making the play offs and being competitive in them but we do need at least one more quick wide player, I said a few weeks ago if Bodin gets injured we'll struggle. Got to give credit they were outstanding defensively today we tried everything , low pass build up, long diagonal balls , get it out wide cross it in , but they were well solid and nicked the goal. No need for a meltdown we're doing alright. UTG.

Two good teams today and there was hardly anything in it. Thought we were going to edge a thoroughly deserved clean sheet and its a shame we didn't get something out of the game. Neither team deserved a win today as their strikers weren't clinical enough but defensively both teams could well be up there at the end of the season on that performance.

Attendance: 9,656 (1,244 Pox) Good attendance, let's hope we get a win for them... Not it's not. I'm not there, at best it's 9655.

I thought it was a good game and a draw probably fair over the 2 halves.
We basically gave them the game by starting/keeping on Nichols and bringing Moore on.
Thought the back 4 looked good until Bola played a poor ball to Broadbent who played an even worse one back to him!!
That one mistake was punished which is harsh but that's but that's football.
We didn't play badly but we really lacked quality in the final third and I can't recall their keeper having to make a save.

I also thought our quality in midfield started to fall away the longer the game went on - Lines is played too deep for me. We also had no width on the right hand side until Moore came on - but he didn't get going and lost the ball poorly leading up to their goal.

Yeah Lines was way too deep, Sercs looked like he was trying too hard and OCs head went completely.

He only stayed this season by default.

Oxford were immense at the back and it was the kind of performance that we've put in over these last few years at their place , solid at the back and nicking it by a goal. The last two times I've been to Oxford I've come away saying good solid away performance rode our luck a bit happy with the win and that's how they'll feel tonight.
