Not biting but I could play a bit pity jimmy hagan is not alive to back it up If you say so !!! Pity is there was no money in the game like there is today and no pensionsign with clubs either and no security.clubs had the upper hand and decided if you stayed or went.or as in my case a serious injury finished it for you

Slocombe 6.5 Fairly solid
Partington 6 solid enough. Lockyer 6 OK. Broadbent 6. 2 crucial mistakes cost him a better rating Bola 7 Good first half. Faded badly towards the end.
Lines 7 A bit deep for my liking but had a good game O Clarke 6 OK but treaded on thin ice. Sercombe 5.5 Thought he was poor. Maybe trying too hard vs his old team. Probably his worst game for us.
Nichols 6 OK but not impacting games enough. Telford is in front of him for me.
Gaffney 7.5 Caused Oxford no end of problems. Winning a lot of balls forward and some good runs out wide etc. Ellis 7 Caused Oxford a lot of problems too. Him and Gaffney in great form eight now
Sinclair 6 Ok but too safe for me when we were 1 down. Telford 6.5 Did well when he came on and nearly scored but for a poor first touch. Moore 4. Useless yet again. Lost the ball in the build up to their goal where we could have had a good oportunity ourselves.
I actually thought the first half was very entertaining between 2 good teams. Not really sure how it was 0-0 at HT and despite the game being tight for most of it, you always felt there was at least 1 goal in it somewhere.
Thought the referee had a good game too despite criticism on social media. One of the better ones.
Darrell Clarke. Wouldn't have personally started Nichols but don't feel he got the starting XI too wrong. Bringing Byron Moore on for Gaffney was a mistake though or not signing another winger. Also Gaffney was causing them most problems in my view. I wiuld rather have seen Telford come on earlier TBH at least.

Slocombe Partington Lockyer Broadbent Bola Lines O. Clarke Sercombe Nichols Gaffney Harrison Subs: Sinclair Moore Telford Crowd Ref Oxford Slocombe- 7. Solid, not much could do about goal Partington- 5.5 not up to normal level. Looked a bit tentative at times. Bola - 4 poor positional sense, didn't know when to get tight or stand off. One good bit of skill but open play delivery not up so dead ball Lockyer- 6 solid enough, no major errors but could have been more imposing. Broadbent- 5.5 solid defensively but let down by distribution. Lines- 7 the classiest player on team in terms of passing. Set the tempo well Sercombe- 7 worked hard throughout without any real reward. Some good challenges and won his fair share of 50-50s. Clarke - 5 struggled to get involved. Good shout by dc to hook off before saw red. Nicholls- 5.5 some neat work but faded and desperately needs a goal. Gaffney - 6.5 worked the channels well, had a half chance where if was willing to use left peg could have done better. Harrison- 7.5 best if the bunch. Battled well and showed maturity in poisoning consistently getting right side of defender. Ran himself into the ground. Moore - 2 still struggling to see what he offers. Totally lacklustre. Sinclair- 6.5 looked tidy and worked hard as always Telford- 3 got into some good positions. Lost composure when clean through (though looked a yard offside) Crowd- 5 good turnout but limited atmosphere..very quiet once one down Ref - 6 generally did ok. Few poor shouts on advantages. Did well to overrule linesman when gave offside from goal kick. Oxford - 8 really grew into game. Not great defensively but second hand really controlled the tempo. Very neat and tidy. Just shaded it

Results in and Chris Lines was Man of the Match with a score of 7.14, his second MotM of the season.
Ellis Harrison was runner-up and has been in the top two players for each of the last six league games.Only two other players have ever achieved a similar run of form. Neal Trotman in the Conference and Ollie Clarke from the Wimbledon home game last season. Neither achieved seven in a row.
Byron Moore recorded the second lowest score by a substitute this season. The only player to score worse? Byron himself, in the Peterborough home game. The lowest scores by starters were all nuked by the scores from the Bradford game.
The starting XI average was 6.23.
Slocombe 6.4
Partington 5.8 Lockyer 6.2 Broadbent 6.1 Bola 6.2
Lines 7.1 O. Clarke 5.5 Sercombe 6.3 Nichols 5.2
Gaffney 6.5 Harrison 7.1
Subs: Sinclair 5.7 Moore 3.9 Telford 5.6
Crowd 6.0 Ref 4.0 Oxford 7.1

I thought someone may say no other winger . But is a winger not supposed to be able to a, beat his man , b , put over decent crosses, c, shoot on target sometimes d,help out his full back when needed not much good at any of these, so play a non winger who isn't any worse at this but will at least looks like he's putting in a proper shift
