Slocombe 5 Picked the ball out of the net 4 times but not much else to do, could have done better with the 2nd
Partington 2 Lockyer 2 Sweeney 2 Bola 2 Defense as a unit in the first half were abysmal and seemed to stand and watch as Shrewsbury lead them a merry dance
Lines 3 surprised he was withdrawn at half time O. Clarke 3 Sercombe 4 extra marks for getting 3 shots on target late in the game even though none of them troubled the keeper but gave the ball away too often Nichols 2 not in the game
Gaffney 3 would have kept him on instead of Nichols when DC made the tactical change Harrison 6 Our MOM and the only positive from the game
Subs: Sinclair 3 made little impact Leadbitter 5 at least he got in a couple of crosses after beating his man Telford 3 little impact
Crowd 6 good noise from a small home crowd, good number of gas for a mid week game but we had the stuffing knocked out of us early doors Ref 5 inconsistant Shrewsbury 9 best counter attacking side I have seen this season

Hard to mark because we were so woeful all the game, but here goes. As viewed from the halfway line.
Slocombe 3.5
Partington 4.5 Lockyer 4 Sweeney 4.5 Bola 3
Lines 4.5 O. Clarke 4 Sercombe 5 Nichols 3
Gaffney 5 Harrison 6
Subs: Sinclair 5 Leadbitter 5 Telford 3
Crowd 5 Ref 9 Shrewsbury 9
Will write a report if I can be bothered. Basically, Hurst ort-Darrelled Darrell.

Slocombe 6 hardly had a save to make.
Partington 3 shadow. Lockyer 2 worse than shadow, skip. Sweeney 3 anonymous. Bola 3 watching.
Lines 2 the new blizzard. O. Clarke 2 the new rob qinn. Sercombe 4 one more point than amount of shots on target...all from him! Nichols 2 the new Luke James
Gaffney 4 tried. Harrison 7 only player worth salt, covered every blade, shame on some of his team mates.
Subs: Sinclair 4 tried. Leadbitter 4 tried. Telford 3
Crowd 10 we deserve refund. Ref 7 didn't get alot wrong. Shrewsbury 9 gave us a lesson.
DC 0 f*ck off with your excuses. You said few weeks ago some were struggling with coping with being rovers players....then go and pick them! Complete waste of money and time, how dare you pick up your pay packet this week.

Slocombe 4 should have saved the second no chance with others Partington 2 very poor Bola 2 not very good Lockyer 3 how is he anywhere near the Wales squad Sweeney 1 shocking embarrassing display Lines 1 as above Clarke 2 anonymous Sercombe 2 a luxury we can ill afford Nichols 1 Did nothing Gaffney 2 was crap Harrison 5 MOM only one who showed any fight or spirit and pride for the shirt
Sinclair 2 is what he is non league at best Leadbitter 4 at least put some crosses in though nobody was there Telford NOLE
Ref 6 Shrewsbury 7 personally thought Oxford were a better team Fans home 10 never stopped singing away 1 worse away fans performance for singing even before the goals went in
This was the worst away performance I have witnessed in DC tenure. Players were slow, could not tackle, head the ball or make a simple pass. 433 is suicide away from home, clubs are running through our midfield too easily. I don't think we have the players to change much at the moment and that worries me. I am not convinced the owners will fulfill the ground or training ground situation or the playing squad. Nobody will convince me Shrewsbury's budget is anywhere near ours and we are mid table at best. Playing this way we may have the odd freak result away.
But really the proof is in the pudding, we have lost one less than the bottom clubs our goals against is frankly shocking. Everything being said is like a broken record. The basic is we have no defensive midfielder and the defence is sh**, plus with the exception of Ellis we havent got a lot going forward. Worrying days....

Slocombe 3.5
Partington 1.5 Lockyer 1.5 Sweeney 1.5 Bola 2.0
Lines 1.0 Clarke 1.5 Sercombe 2.5
Nicholls 1.0 Gaffney 4.0 Harrison 6.0
Subs Sinclair 3.5 Leadbitter 3.5 Telford 2.5
Crowd 2.5 Ref 5.0 Shrewsbury 9.0
1st half probably one of the worst displays in my 60 years watching the gas.We were completely outfought, outpassed and destroyed by a team that usually wins their home games 1-0.An improvement 2nd half but you always felt the Shrews would step up a gear if they wanted too.

Slocombe 3 got beat at the near post for the second
Partington 2 nothing else to say Lockyer 2 as above Sweeney 2 to slow got done time and time again Bola 2 if your going to play as a wing back you need to ensure someone covers you and have the legs to get back and defend
Back four as a whole, you can't play with wing backs and only two in the middle !!
Lines 2 why is he still taking freekicks never seen one on target as yet ! O. Clarke 1 was he out there ? Sercombe 3 kept running in to dead ends Nichols 3 works hard until the last 3rd
Gaffney 4 a lot of huff and puff but no end result Harrison 6 worked his socks off but had no support.
Subs: Sinclair 4 done ok Leadbitter needs to look up before putting the ball in the box but don't help when you had on one in there ! Telford 4 needs a run of games !
Crowd 3 not helped by going 3 down in such a short space of time Ref 8 Shrewsbury 10 class all game great banter !
Overall, needs to pick a team and stick with it play 3 at the back moving forward to stop shipping goals. use wing back to put pressure on the opposition out wide and ensure that we get bodies in the box !!

Results in and Ellis Harrison was Man of the Match with a score of 5.94.
Harrison extended his run of MotM or runner-up to seven games, the longest run ever in these threads.
Harrison now has 6 MotMs this season (17 games) already, the same number as he managed in the previous three seasons combined (111 games)
The starting XI average was 2.76, the second ever lowest in these threads. The lowest was in last season's away game at Shrewsbury, 2.60.
Shrewsbury's 8.9 was the highest opposition rating in these threads, beating the 8.5 given to Barnet in the second game in the Conference. The only other time a team has scored above 8, was away to Portsmouth in League Two who scored an 8.2
Slocombe 3.7
Partington 2.2 Lockyer 2.1 Sweeney 2.0 Bola 2.3
Lines 2.0 O. Clarke 1.9 Sercombe 2.9 Nichols 1.8
