Hope you don't mind a Shrewsbury supporters view of last nights match. Shrewsbury supporters to be honest are to the most part shocked and stunned at our start. Our squad is made up of former Grimsby players, non league and promising youngsters on loan. I stress the word squad. Paul Hurst is not playing the same 11 week in week out. Last night our leading scorer was rested. In our match last Saturday at Plymouth our best player this season Rodman was rested. Rovers were the worst side we have played this season which was a surprise after your last away performance. You clearly rely a lot on your leading scorer and with him out have no bite up front. Your defence was non existent. The second half was played with Saturdays game in mind but there is no doubt other players will be rested. A strong squad in this league is vital. Its the first season we have had that. We will loose players in the January transfer market and possibly the Manager before too long but our objective is to reach 50 points. After that maybe a play off spot. I wish you good luck for the rest of the season. You don't win an away game 6-0 with crap players but new defenders and goalkeeper look to be a priority.

Hello Shrewsbury supporter, Rovers supporter here. Enjoy it while it lasts. They are doing well and fair play to them, deserve to be there so i hope it does last. We are way off the mark this season. Our starting 11 changes every week, so personally i am not surprised there is no consistency with the performance. The selection of some players has to be questioned, not playing well yet still get picked and come back into the side, Lockyer being the obvious one without beating around the bush. My player analysis. Our keepers look to be okay in my opinion, in the games we've lost and won Slocombe has made some great saves. Smith, before his injury looked good. Defenders - Bola lately has looked the only competent one, the rest are making mistakes or just bettered by the opposition. We ship far too many goals and when we dont DC changes it immediately again the next game anyway - this must stop. Pick the 4 that played against Northampton, too much loyalty/favoritism is being showed. At the end of the season the defense could ripped up and rebuilt again. The midfield - Bodin and Sercombe are the only two standout players for me, they look comfortable at league 1 and probably do better in a better side. Thing is Bodin will NOT be here next season. There are old favorites that have now past their best (Lines) and other that for all there effort lack the quality to carry the team much further (Sinclair,O Clarke - both could be squad players). Then you have Moore whose heart is not in it and should not be anywhere near the first team. Next season, Sinclair and O Clarke would be players i keep, but we have to build around Sercombe. Strikers - Despite Harrison and Gaffeney improving this season, i am still not really convinced they could carry us further. Nichols we can also hope comes good soon. Really am disappointed that we haven't built on last year.

We won 6-0 with Bodin injured after 20 minutes, and having him on the pitch yesterday would have made no difference. We are the EFL's top goalscorers, so no, we don't rely on one player at all. Our defence is just very poor, that's why we are where we are.

He said our" starting eleven changes every week" or words to that effect?

Bang on the money about Bodin and the defence. Rovers are not a bad side, it was just an off day. If Rovers were bad the league table would show it by now. Unfortunately this club has mega rich owners who don't want to spend their money on taking Rovers to the next level quickly. They want to build from the ground slowly and so at least 10 more seasons of evolution will see Rovers consolidating at this level, unless some of the promising youngsters make the grade and a bit of luck comes to the Mem.

Dunno why some people get funny about an honest assessment from the Shrews fan.

Dunno why some people get funny about an honest assessment from the Shrews fan. Fair enough, but most of it we already knew. I could say best of luck to Shrewsbury but it would be a bit hollow - we're not likely to & I couldn't much care who does.
