Smith 7 done nothing wrong.
Partington 5 doesn't deserve place. Lockyer 5 doesn't deserve captaincy. Broadbent 7.5 steady, my m o m.
Leadbitter 6 ok on rhs. O. Clarke 4 anon. Sinclair 6 ok. Sercombe 6.5 always seeking. Brown 6 ok.
Gaffney 6 tried. Harrison 6.5 tried harder.
Subs: Lines 7 played some simple passes. Nichols 4 missed sitter. Telford nole.
Crowd 8 anyone going after Tues deserves credit. Ref 6 again, some baffling decision and advantage played / not played. Rochdale

Dracula 6 not much to do
Partington 5 Lockyer 4 gifted them the goal with his slip Broadbent 5 1 great ball in first half for Gaffers but 1 or 2 wayward balls but strong on the ball
Leadbitter 5 made a few runs forward but not the best end product O. Clarke 5 I want the Ollie Clark from last season back Sinclair 5 he ran ans ran Sercombe 4 worked hard and got off 3 shots on target again but all easy for the keeper. Gave the ball away too many times though Brown 4 little to do defensively and has attacked better on other occasions
Gaffney 5 work hard and could have done better with the great ball from Broadbent Harrison 6 ran his socks off and ran out of steam. Didn't get the rub of the decisions from the officals
Subs: Lines 5 we improved with him on the pitch Nichols 4 Telford NOLE
Crowd 6 a good number there but I had the misfortune to be sat near some right morons - they embarrass themselves and the club Ref 3 oh dear Rochdale 3 oh dear (did well to get the result)

Smith 6.0
Leadbitter 5.5 Lockyer 5.5 Broadbent 5.5 Brown 5.5
Partington 5.5 Clarke 5.5 Sercombe 6.0 Sinclair 5.5
Gaffney 6.0 Harrison 6.0
Subs Lines 6.0 Nicholls 5.5 Telford NOLE
Crowd 6.5 Ref 5.0 Rochdale 5.0
An improvement on Shrewsbury performance which was expected given their relative positions and current form. Once again a soft goal which gave the opposition something to fight for.

I get a feeling there's many just waiting for him to fail if only to get the chance to voice their vile diatribe......he's a bit of a fall guy is our Ellis.

People have still been criticising him for not scoring but he's playing well to be fair. Even when he isn't scoring he is having an impact which is important unlike some players tbh.
