That night match is one of the most memorable for me too. He and Dave Savage were astonishing. A pretty amazing game, considering all other things. Agogo would be warmly received if he visit the Mem when he is well enough. Savage was sent off with us 2 down. Yes, you are right; somebody - a midfielder - was amazing going forward supporting Agogo maybe it was James Hunt [who i didnt really rate overall].

Heartbreaking story!, very good player, who scored some great goals. Brought some sunshine, in what were dark times. Hope he recovers fully🙏 UTG

He'd get a tremendous reception if he came to a game and I would hope we could wheel out the DVD of the Yeovil game when he single-handedly grabbed a point for us with minutes to spare and nine men on the pitch! (and then admitted that he took the ball in to the corner in the 95th minute as he thought we were 3-2 up!). If there is a video of him taking a phone call on the pitch-side from Ian Atkins (who was in the stand) during a game then show that as well!!!
Top player. Sad story, but a bloke fighting back. Would be good if we could play a part to match his efforts.
Hunt scored so had a bit to do with it too, never felt so good after drawing a game, felt like a win. Remember his two goals at Mansfield, fun in the sun that day. Forgot all about that Mansfield game. Probably my favorite opening day game. Also remembering the Torquay game when 2-0 down. Think Junior scored two, with the second being something special before Walker scored the winner. On the down side though, I do remember him getting quite a bit of abuse at the Mem when he came back with Forest. Which wasn't very nice.

Next step should be appointing club ambassadors and using them for promotional work and hospitality. I loved hospitality at Everton hosted by ex players and including interviews with guest ex players over the meals. Yeah we're getting there, and now that Tom Gorringe is in place it should have a clear structure soon. Vaughan Jones is our players rep on the committee & handles player hospitality on match days. Billy Clark is our President. Dave Gilroy works in sporting events so is going to get stuck into events with us, and Nick Tanner is also an events man & constantly plugging us.

Haven't had chance to watch the programme yet, but just to let people know we're trying to get in touch with Junior and see if we can help him get back in touch with team mates and help him out in whatever way he needs. UTG Martin Bristol Rovers Former Players Association (BRFPA) Proudly provides recognition and support to former BRFC players and team staff. Full details at www.brfpa.org.ukGood work and can i say how delighted iam both with the fact this organisation now exists but also with the effort you make. Thanks so much and let me know if you need any donations Thanks mate & thanks for your kind words on Twitter. UTG

Brief Update
Not a huge amount to report to be honest.
Just to say that we are sensitively continuing to try to have a full conversation with Junior so we can find out how we could possibly help him and whether he'd like to come to the Mem, with a guest(s) to be our guest of honour (no pressure...).

Lots of clubs have club ambassadors who also help host hospitality and do stadium tours etc ? I think hospitality at Rovers whilst enjoyable has a lot of room to grow and improve

I think hospitality at Rovers whilst enjoyable has a lot of room to grow and improve All being looked at and improved at the moment, and one reason why the club encouraged us to be set up. Now that we are here, and Tom Gorringe is here, we can have a proper system and run it more professionally so that everyone gets something out of it. Currently Vaughan Jones is the main players rep / attendance host, with Dave Gilroy just joining us, especially for his expertise with events, and Billy Clark as our President.

With the limited capacity for hospitality and an improved experience we could charge more too.
