1) I just cant see how the owners are going to take the massive financial step up to making the club championship ready. The new ground, training ground, cat 2 academy and better players can only be achieved by throwing large amounts of money into the club and there is no evidence that the owners are interested in doing that. 2) The way i see it wealthy owners come into clubs lose money but end up with a valuable product which sometimes makes a profit and can be sold for a fortune. So ive lost faith. 1) Evolution not Revolution. That is all Wael and Hamer have said since day 1. I think some have forgotten this or have chose to ignore this. Patience is needed. Rome wasn't built in a day! I think because we had immediate success on the pitch after Wael took over, some think what is going on off the pitch is too slow. (When I say some, I am not saying you bluebutterfly. Its just a passing comment). Wael has said many times that his short term goals are to make the match day experience better for the fans. We have seen a number of changes around the Mem which proves he is doing what he is saying. Improving the match day experience will increase income. Increased income helps with the FFP rules that we have to abide by. He has a team of people who are helping with his long term goals which is a new/redeveloped stadium and new training ground. This takes time. I remember Higgs saying when it was first announced that we want UWE and Sainsburys was having the Mem that it took 2 years to get to the point of making that announcement and then putting in planning permission. Redeveloping the Mem needs time for planning. Its not something that will be done in a few months. There is lots to think about like where will we play while its being done (last time we were suppose to go to Cheltenham!) The stadium may have to be moved into a different direction. Then you got the Mem gates and a hell of a lot of other stuff to think about. They probably got the old planning permission to see what issues the club had back then with the council and the locals to make sure our application this time for planning pleases everyone. I dont believe for a single second that there is anyone on this forum who knows 100% everything what is going on day to day with Wael and the work he is putting in. 2) Going by that statement, whoever was going to be our owners will never get your faith in them. good points by you. For me so many things dont add up but were all going around in circles with our various arguments. city did there ground in what 2 or 3 years so can we right?

Patience 55 years I been waiting that long enough do I qualify? When my kids misbehave, I put them on the naughty spot for 1 minute per year of their age. They know if they talk during that time, their time on the naughty spot starts again. Likewise, when a new regime starts at the club, they should get a clean sheet and your patience should start again. Its only been 18 months since Wael took over and a lot of that has been spent on UWE. Your patience of 55 years is fantastic. Don't waste all that effort now. Like buying a lottery ticket for years. Don't stop now because you know your numbers will come up next week otherwise My patience is just 34 years. I hope I can follow your lead and not end up like some others on here who only been around for 3 seasons and is only use to success so wants everything now. We've seen it a hell of a lot worse than what we got.

Who would of thought 'Evolution' would of been so slow?!?!?!?!?!? I still have faith in the regime because as many have said what is the alternate? The training ground will be complete, the Mem will be revamped, but these things take time. As a fanbase we have gotten way too greedy due to our amazing short term success. But this spike of success had to come to an end eventually. And lets cut to the chase, we're all annoyed and anxious of our own performance on and off the pitch because City are doing very well at the moment, that's the only reason people are up in arms, because it does seem the gap between the two clubs is getting wider unless we do something. But those frustrated with the board have to understand these things take time, previous boards have done nothing for the long term infrastructure of our club and WAQ is finally addressing those problems. But we can't expect this to be done in a matter of months this will take a long time. This! Personally this is a huge source of frustration and one that may get worse. If City make it to the 'promised land' of the Prem, then it will very bad for Rovers. We will likely lose potential supporters as a glut of youngsters and neutrals yet to choose their club, will naturally lean towards the shiny red stadium south of the river with a team that is playing the likes of Spurs, Arsenal, Chelsea Man Utd, Liverpool etc.. whilst we will be playing Bury, Rochdale, Rotherham and Fleetwood! We need to do something to increase our 'stock' imo and that will take investment, something we have seen very little of up to now

Round in circles we go. Persistent old duffer aren't you ? 🤔 It's a simple question. You've made a claim along with lots of others and said they're true. The claim about VAT is clearly wrong. I'm just asking - If you believe something to be true which is clearly wrong how are you able to say any of what you've said is the truth? it's not clearly wrong though is it ? Far from it but we'll have to agree to disagree because we are going round in circles old bean. Obviously you got more time on your hands than me. 😉

I've quoted the statute that says what you claimed was wrong. All I'm asking is, if you're so certain of what you're saying to call it the truth you must know why it's true and what I've said is mistaken. If you know why are you being so coy about sharing?

I wonder how long it took to get the plans made then consultations and then planning permission. We are in that stage. City were lucky to stay put as they build. I don't think we can afford to lose a stand each season because that's a lot of revenue being lost. Also, I doubt we will have a choice if the pitch direction has to change which was happening the last time when talks of a redevelopment of the Mem came about. If this is the case then is there any point of pursuing a redevelopment until we know where we will move to (like Spurs have done with Wembley this season). Will Cheltenham say yes to us after what happened last time? Will Bath welcome us back?

60+ for me and I'm still happy.
Recent events have made me realise there is more important things in life than BRFC. Hoping to get to my first game before Christmas.
Will be attending Geoff's funeral next week so will met up with follow Gasheads then.
