Okay, a few questions for you: 1. What do you think the Al-Qadi's agenda is? 2. If not to build the football club, why have they added backroom staff and bought some land? [ 1) To enable large sums of money to disappear without question under the guise of a struggling football club. 2) The same reason that venture capitalists buy businesses. Are you seriously suggesting they bought us to launder money? That's one hell of an accusation. |

Wish more people would take your advice. Although having said that I wouldn't mind getting stadium news from the club instead of second hand from Corstairs and the like. A minor gripe in the grand scheme of things. I sure if you ask the Mayor of Bristol he will give you some idea of what is going on  He is too busy planning to demolish a working transport infrastructure because it's ugly (does he think he is the Prince of Wales - pfft), and building houses in a flood area  |

I do none of those things but what I do do is pay through the turnstiles to watch my team as I have done since 1979 . I really can't see the training ground happening and nether can I see us playing in a revamped or new stadium any time in the future. How generous of you Paying at the turnstiles entitles you to watch a match - nothing more - why should it entitle you to complain about training grounds or a re-vamped stadium or anything else? just for the record I have been watching Rovers since 1946 - and that entitles me to nothing more than you and I expect nothing more than I pay for. Question - when you buy something at Boots - which you have probably been doing since 1979 - does it entitle you to complain about anything they do as a Company? Their training regime, their product range, the colour of their tunics or anything else? Don't talk bollocks fella , so my hard earned cash spent on supporting my club home and away for 38 years doesn't entitle me to have an opinion or voice my concerns on how the club is being run? You couldn't make it up , smacks of North Korea 😂 |

I've not twisted anything fella by the way albeit other than maybe some confusion regarding VAT exemption which isn't very transparent in the script of the VAT act 1994 schedule 9 group 1 paragraph 1(a) But I'm sure there are tax exemptions regarding sporting facilities Earlier you said: A couple of other things some of which you do know Dwayne sports is channel island based nothing new there but because for some unknown reason (sh1t advisors or have a go heroes) they don't know British tax law i.e. They thought that the building of the Colony and that of the UWE would be VAT free which it would be because new builds are VAT exempt but that only applies to British mainland based companies not those who are based in Guernsay. That would mean that our £40million pound plus pipe dream would've cost nearer to £50 million and the same rules apply to the state of the art training complex , none of it is going to happen. Before that you claimed to know "the truth" Also not looking forward to saying I told you so when our club goes down the toilet . Too many fans on here that won't have a bad word to say against them as they refuse to believe the truth of what's actually happening at our beloved club. The same people who trusted in Higgs and his Bod when they proposed their bullshit upon us. So what has he told us in that interview? Nothing not already known except the training ground is being worked on. Strangely 8 weeks later nothing has happened with the training ground, or to my knowledge a revision to the planning permission being submitted. Hence a vacuum of communication breeds rumours and ultimately distrust. Exactly, he has told us nothing that we didn't already know. This is why I made this thread with an OLD story, showing we already know this information. We already know Wael is taking things QUIETLY and SLOWLY. YET all I am reading on this forum is "no communication". If things are going quietly and slowly, there wont be regular updates of communication. Would you prefer the club to stay quiet and go about its business and update us when there is something actually to update us with or would you prefer a fortnightly update simply saying "there is no new update"? Obviously regular communication is not actually necessary. I have read things on this forum saying we have no money and Wael hasn't done anything. That is another reason why I made this thread with an OLD story, showing we already know what Wael has done for us showing, we have funds. We already know Wael is building the club up in a SUSTAINABLE way for LONG TERM SUCCESS. The club is communicating enough. We know its going quietly and slowly. We already have the information we need for now and when there is something eventually to update us on, then the club will. Patience is needed. And that is what this thread is about. We are up to date. Its impatient fans who are spreading rumours which ultimately breeds distrust. Not the club. |

I still have faith in the regime because as many have said what is the alternate?
The training ground will be complete, the Mem will be revamped, but these things take time. As a fanbase we have gotten way too greedy due to our amazing short term success. But this spike of success had to come to an end eventually.
And lets cut to the chase, we're all annoyed and anxious of our own performance on and off the pitch because City are doing very well at the moment, that's the only reason people are up in arms, because it does seem the gap between the two clubs is getting wider unless we do something.
But those frustrated with the board have to understand these things take time, previous boards have done nothing for the long term infrastructure of our club and WAQ is finally addressing those problems. But we can't expect this to be done in a matter of months this will take a long time.
