Think your wasting your time Gasincider, they don't want to listen to the truth , everything you talk of is the exact same things that I have been told albeit you have conveyed the facts in a more readable and succinct way without getting few of the facts slightly misjudged as I did in earlier posts. Just a question if the Al q's want out and that's the noise I'm getting in your opinion do you think they will cut their losses now or just carry on redirecting the clubs funds building up the debt against the stadium until we're in want of a better word. " f@cked" or get out once they've got planning in place for the training complex which they won't build ? Believe me I'm worried about the charge against the Mem and I'm worried that the Mem was touted as unsustainable but now suddenly is OK for us to stay and re-develop. However I'm not going to get all hysterical until I see what happens with the training ground and Mem plans. As far as I can tell (albeit with poor communication from the club) is: - The training ground is going through the planning stage - The community is being consulted about the Mem plans and that they are (so far) largely happy Why would the ALQs go through this and all the backroom appointments if they are looking to get out? Thing is Tommy you watch them get all excited on here once the planning application gets submitted then subsequently granted 8 weeks later, providing there's no suitable objections, but just because they've put it in doesn't mean they plan to build it but it does make us slightly more marketable for others to take control perhaps ๐ค, the Mem I really can't see how this has now all of a sudden because a viable proposition so things don't stack up , I just wish that we were digging holes for foundations as opposed to ones we can't get out of but sadly I can't see anyway out other than new investment from new owners simple.

looking forward to seeing who asked what at the SC AGM
The A.G.M. went off quite well I thought with a good attendance of members who posed the Committee some searching questions that I trust we were able to answer. Following the business part of the meeting we held what turned out to be a lively โquestion & answerโ session with our guests from the Football Club, namely Chairman Steve Hamer, new Commercial Director Tom Gorringe and Assistant Manager Marcus Stewart. All three were equally called to task and each gave very forthright answers on a whole variety of Roversโ subjects. We hope to publish full details of these here in this column and on our website in the near future if you were not in attendance.

probably the answers that you wanted to hear as they've briefed theirselves on the questions that were most likely to be asked and therefore had their answers at the ready . gullible definition : easily persuaded to believe something; credulous. "an attempt to persuade a gullible public to spend their money"

"an attempt to persuade a gullible public to spend their money" I am not expecting any enlightening answers, been there, done that, got the T-shirt, but I asked the questions, so it will be interesting to see what sort of grilling Steve Hamer got.
I keep seeing a lot of talk and bluster about things that are apparently going on, so will be interesting to see who has called anyone out on it.

So assuming I take you at face value the only fact is that we haven't paid for a fence? But we've only your word on that. I dont do pie in the sky bullshit, but this is correct. We have not paid for the fence and have offered to clear the debt over the 15months. So you know this as fact because....... You don't buy a fence without agreeing the price up front, signing contracts and agreeing payment terms. How do you know there isn't a dispute? How do you know that it wasn't agreed for payment to be made over a schedule of payments? How do you know that there isn't a clause which said there was other work due but not complete? Who knows, they might have used the wrong materials! You don't unless you are the director of the firm who put the fence up! I go back to that there is 2 sides and you're only spouting off an exaggerated one side based upon speculation. If it was as bad as you said, it would be reported in the press by now and the comment that they're Gasheads doesn't wash as this is business - completely different and non sentimental. So I may be wrong but I don't believe it is as bad as is being made out one bit and I really don't get this board bashing

I don't like things I know to be fact being totally dismissed by likes of yourself on here because they can't stand to here facts. Cue the "show us your facts" retort, not bothered as I've already said a waste of time.

FWIW, here is my take on the current ownership. The one major mistake that we made in our history was selling Eastville. Maybe it saved the club at the time, but that meant life has been a constant struggle for BRFC. It's why we have always been ragbag. Currently, there appears to be stuff happenning - development squad, backroom staff, bought a field, small Mem improvements, sprinklers (lol) etc. However, it is all being financed by a loan secured against our only asset. In other words - we seem to be risking our ground to make these improvements. Those of us that were watching rovers in the eighties - when we were forced to leave our true home at Eastville - feel naturally agitated by this. It was a long road back to eventually owning our own ground, and here we are risking it again. When our borrowing exceeds the value of the Mem what will happen? Will history repeat itself and we will be forced to sell again? That depends if the Al-Qadi's put their hand in their pockets. We had hoped that the Al-Qadi family would invest their own money. That's how we've seen other clubs grow. It does not appear that is happening though. What it appears we are trying to do is raise capital against what we have. Then invest that capital in order to grow. For projects like the training ground and the regeneration - outside investement will probably be sought. People outside the club will get a generous slice of those pies. Will this plan work? I don't know. Will it take a long time? Longer than many of us have. This is how Manchester United are funded Ah the old compare us to ManUre argument. Well here is a comparison out of ManUre and Rovers one club is making stacks of profit to pay off any investment and err one is not. Guess which is which and then reflect on how ridiculous the comparison is.

Apparently SH said at the SC AGM that he wasn't worried about the state of the training ground because bulldozers would be moving onto the site within a few weeks.
I believe it has been a few weeks since the AGM, but still no bulldozers. Perhaps he meant bullsh*t๐

I seriously think SH just makes things up when put on the spot, as how can bulldozers be moving in any time soon when we haven't even applied for pp yet let alone obtained it? Plus I thought nothing was going to happen now anyway until Feb due to tax issues being resolved?

Perhaps he meant bullsh*t๐ well bullshit anyway as it takes 8 weeks for planning to be approved and that's providing there are no objections ,to think that others on here think we are spreading idle gossip and lies yet the chairman gets away with it on a daily basis yet they can do no wrong , oh the irony of it all.
