When Nick Day mentioned in his eulogy to Geoff Dunford that without him we'd all be doing something different on a Saturday afternoon it got me thinking.
What would you be doing?
I'd probably be watching Bath at the Rec. Haven't watched a game of rugby in about 20 years. I used to enjoy it, more so than football.

It would just mean an extra 90 minutes at the bar.

I would be at home getting my ear chewed off by the missus. In fact I would probably be hanging off the nearest tree by now. Thank f**k for the Dunford family! UTG

I drive a Mitsubishi colt 1.1 , you can't really put fast and Mitsubishi colt in the same sentence, my nan could out run it and she's had a hip replacement! 😂

That's a frightening question. 29 years ago I started showing a real interest in local football. I had the choice of Rovers or City and, for various reasons, it was always the gas for me. I was never going to follow plastic friends and 'support' Man U, Arsenal or Liverpool nor was I going to be drawn to non-league. So off to Twerton I went. If the club had truly died two years before that time, my choice would have been .... I shudder to think ... with no allegiance or real knowledge of Rovers at the time, would I? Could I ?
We may have lost generations of fans while in Bath and all the other years we have been crap and playing in outdated surroundings, but that all important choice watching the blue and white quarters was kept alive.

I watched bath rugby for years before rovers and dumped them for gas & never even been back for sloppy seconds 😂 Neighbour works there & can get free tkts but I'd never go. In fact I rather despise what prof rugby has become and what it has turned the city of Bath into every fortnight - yet another reason to support rovers. Coming back to the question i would probably have gone to bath city more.

I would be supporting Bath City at Twerton Yeah I’ve slways thought that if we did go under and didn’t come back in some shape or form ( would never happen though) then Bath City would be my team. People often ask me if I’ve got a second team when I say I’m a Gashead like their expecting me to say Liverpool or Man Utd etc but I always say no but if I had to chose it would be Bath City.

Bath have profited hugely from the Sky Sports-ification of sport and they're milking it for all its worth.

I was talking to an elderly lady (friend of my wife) on Sunday, her late brother had left her the majority shareholding in Baff City.
During the move to Twerton two shareholders at said club, tried to block it. Her husband (also now sadly departed) who was a lifelong Gashead, drove her to the meeting and persuaded her to cast a vote allowing us to play there.
The rest as we say is history!

She is extremely proud to have done her bit for the Gas; always likes to try and keep up with the news. She still has those shares, probably take them to the grave with her
