DC is the best manager this club has had in years and one of the best in our entire history. He has taken us from Non League oblivion to L1 respectability in 2 years and we’ve now hit the ceiling of what is possible for the investment being made. If it wasn’t for DC we’d most likely be struggling to stay in this division. If anyone wants to vent frustration that we aren’t pushing on to the next level then you are barking up the wrong tree blaming DC. He himself will be pushing on to the next level soon enough though whether that’s with Rovers or someone else. Yeah he’s going to leave one day and I reckon we’ll be worse off without him than we are with him no doubt about that in my mind. But no we’re mid table league 1 after back to back promotions what sh**e results ,let’s sack him . Honestly ! |

So we have to put up with shi!te away performances all season just because DC did well in the past? Either DC was given such a cr@p budget he's had to get in 2nd rate players this summer or he's out of his depth w/o Yates alongside him, something's got to give sooner or later. And our away performances were so much better under the last few managers weren’t they? In a league below as well remember. Would we be better off with a new manager right now? Who knows. One thing I do know is you can’t keep winning forever, we’ve had a few good years under DC and we’re now mid-table (yes that’s right, mid-table not bottom of the league) in a league above the one he took over us in. Did you expect us to keep winning every year and be in Europe before 2020. I really don’t know what people expect. Maybe we do need DC to leave and another Buckle/Penney/McGhee to take charge so you can realise how much DC has done. They always say, “you don’t realise what you’ve got til it’s gone”. Cracking post, my thoughts exactly. Sadly success breeds unrealistic expectations among some of the fanbase who struggle with concepts such as "patience", "realism", "memory", "context". DC's problem is he's been so successful that he's now a victim of his own success, because he's working the club to it's feasible limit of success with the current resources. What on earth do people expect? Look at some of the other clubs in League One for crying out loud! Look at the Championship!! We all hope for continuous improvement and continuous success, but anybody who seriously "expects" to be gunning for promotion to the Championship is quite frankly delusional. |

But c'mon, surely we're not moving forward are we? . We're letting too many goals , something has to change. Are we really making signings that are improving the squad?

Where was this sh**e last Saturday after a decent performance against MK Don's? Nothing beats our jeckle & Hyde support base and a good ol' gas meltdown! I personally kept quiet out of respect for the Dunford family don't know about others We won last week and pretty comfortably at that, so what comments were you sparing us from out of respect for the Dunford family? |

Like I said in an earlier thread I believe we’ve got better footballers now than at any other time under DC but what we need is experience to gel it together and make it work. DC has signed some very good footballers but if you look at Easter McCrystal Mansel etc they weren’t as good on the ball but they had that leadership quality we’re lacking a bit this season. The fact that we’re still mid table goes to show what a good side weve got in my opinion. January is massive. DC needs to bring in experience in midfield and defence and preferably an experienced defensive coach. If he doesn’t we’ll stay mid table if he does we could make the play offs. |

Now according to this place the answer is to bring back Steve Yates, bring back Peter Hartley (or 'why did we let them go?!). Its mad. It'll take DC time to get it right at this level given the jump this squad has made, but he will. |

I wouldn’t be surprised if he left in January and took Bodin with him wherever he went. Sacking D.C. Is somewhat a tad premature I I think , but sometimes I do shake my head in disbelief at his tactics , formations and constant rotation of playing staff over this season , how can we not hold onto a two goal lead and why do we keep conceding so many goals ? It's a f@cking embarrassment.

The whole club has a huge lack of experience from the top to the bottom. Players will only do what they are told/taught and if the wrong skill sets and tactics are applied you are on a slippery slope. THIS stems from clarkes arrogant stance and ignorant attitude to change and he can only blame himself. Recruitment,is key or we are on well hell of a downward spirral. Its all very well banging on about the past, but he looks like he is dragging us back into it, we are a shambles and the loyal fans have to stand there, pay clap and applaude and pretend there is nothing wrong. Wake up!!!!!

DC is not the problem, false expectations amongst fans is! He is a quality bloke & manager and we are lucky to have him! Is anyone actually still fooled by the owners? They have shown zero ambition in providing funds for on pitch investment, how good do people expect us to be!?! We have an awful ground, no training facilities yet we criticise a manager (wanted by LEEDS!) just because he isnt astonishingly over achieving!! You need to get a grip, pull your head out your ass and hope to god that he isn’t driven out the club by fans who think we’re Barcelona....oh and our match winning best player has been injured of late DC OUT! Pathetic.
