I think we would be leasing the land still or even the stadium as he referred to it as a turnkey stadium which someone cleverer then me said is like a pfi building.

Why couldn't gasincider have just said this is the first place? It could have saved about 10 threads and hundreds of posts.

Constant hints and drip dripping of negative stories are damaging.

If you want to get on in Bristol, I understand that you don't make enemies with the "Society of Merchant Venturers". Don't worry though as I doubt very much there could be any connection between them, Eddie Ware and UWE. Thats more of a Ted thing isn't it? Ed Ware and Pro. West (UWE) are both members of the Merchant Venturers. Chris Booy of the rugby franchise is also a governor of UWE and John Laycock is a shareholder in the Sh*t and rugby franchise and a governor at UWE. All are Merchant Venturers. The connections are all there and possibly some I don't know. But the contacts are there for something to happen with that land at UWE. . . . and the contacts are there to stop something happening with that land at UWE too

I wouldnt want to be tied to anything associated with Ed. It smells of sh** stirring and £££££ related motives EW has a financial interest in the UWE going ahead He's also a life-long Rovers supporter.

Yeah, certainly things have got gradually worse as the communication from the club has dried up. After a few weeks of statements with no developments, we can start another thread about how bad the comm is, "what's the point of the same statement each week, why can't we have silence until there is something worth saying" Yeah it doesn’t bother me. If the club haven’t made a statement about what’s going on behind the scenes I don’t personally feel aggrieved or the need to sh** stir , make up rumours, or believe them. Looking forward to Saturday and the Saturday after that. f**k everything else , it will all come out in the wash , good or bad I’ll still be a Gashead , rumours that the board are cocking things up or not so what ? We’ve had the last lot that cocked it up so bad we went out of the league. What’s the point in listening to hundreds of rumours from people who may be in the know or not and getting wound up sbout it ?? UTG.

To me the solution is simple, we would all just like the football club to speak to us. A monthly statement/ update from Waq would be great, just like the higgsie days, along with say a bi weekly commentary from Hamer, would be perfect. Genuine question because I don't know the answer- does this happen at any other club?

Its on the passionate gasheads site, the guy is a mate of Eds. The rumour as reported - So UWE build the stadium with accomodation attached to it and we get the stadium in return for The mem which will have houses built on it. Ed will be building the houses. Have you got a link..?

Genuine question because I don't know the answer- does this happen at any other club? That’s a very good question. Personally I’d like a monthly update from Wael because he’s the majority shareholder. But I’m not going to start sh** stirring or take any notice of sh** stirring if that doesn’t happen. It is what it is. My only priority at moment is Scunthorpe Saturday and then on to the next one and so on.

I've been following the developments at Hearts and liked this update from their owner Ann Budge back in August. www.heartsfc.co.uk/news/6106Not everything is perfect at Hearts, for example the opening date for the stand has slipped back to later this month, but I think the style of this communication is excellent.

I don't know Ed Ware, but if this is true, he sounds like someone to do business with - NOT. So is this the deal implied by 'ITK's' on here? Drip feeding this & now a mate of his his giving details on social media - this Ed Ware isn't very discreet then by the sounds of it. Perhaps he has already put the plan to ALQ's & they have said its a no goer, so he has decided to stir things? Who knows!! If this 'scheme' could work for us why wasn't it an option when Sainsbury's pulled out under the old board instead of taking the Wonga deal to chase a lost cause?
