Personally I don’t believe gasincider. He might be right but he has not presented enough evidence to convince me.
It’s not refusing to see the through woods... it’s based on the evidence. On the one hand, I’m experiencing the best 3 years following the gas, I’ve seen albeit small but continued improvements to at the Mem, players consistently express that team spirit is unlike other clubs, the best manager in my lifetime sign a long term contract, manager express that the board are trying to improve infrastructure, plans to build a new training ground, a new highly rated commercial director, new meals at the ground, contactless payments, ticket prices frozen since takeover (rightly), a new development squad, fees actually paid for players, other clubs talk highly of conduct during negotiations.
On the other, we have the big one- UWE and a man I don’t know, using a monkier (like all us) saying that people that he won’t name are concerned about things other than a fence, that he won’t tell us about...
The issue with this: consider im wrong. Consider the apocalypse is coming. That’s not on me. I’ve looked at the evidence, I’ve considered both sides and I’ve come to the only logical conclusion on the facts avaliable. It is on those ‘sitting on facts’ they won’t disclose.
If you can’t reveal your source- you are not a messenger.

I guess the situation still remains either we have financial problems or someone is trying to imply we have to undermine the ALQ's. The silence from the club now makes me feel it's edging towards the former. |

I only post messages following info received within the club and I have stopped posting info recently as a result of messages like yours. Perhaps you'd like to see a few sackings within the club, as that is what would happen. During my four months absence, this forum has deteriorated to a new low.
Still, at least it's a glorious day for Geoff's funeral and I look forward to seeing Gasheads I have not seen since the last home game of last season.

I assume that Madgas believes that when a carrier pigeon turned up with a message during the First World War, the pigeon was the messenger. It would have been much easier if the true messenger signed each secret message then there would have been no confusion.
Hang on though, what if the Germans shot down the pidgeon, and retrieved the message? Oh that's ok, the pidgeon was the messenger.

Marcus made a comment rather than a statement, problem is we've no idea if he was just innocently referring to GD's funeral or something totally different. You've just added your own spin to the comment seemingly without any evidence to support the players haven't been paid? |

There were numerous members of staff on this site last night - presumably watching what was being said. If these members of staff are that interested in what a relatively small group of supporters are saying I feel it's not unreasonable to expect some form of response (because this news will spread) to end all the speculation with positive comments about the club. If someone from the club doesn't respond through the media, personally I feel there are issues. MS may well have made an error but his comment was unprompted - it has led to a 'bit of a meltdown' on this site.
Additionally if the EP have latched on to the comment and are not prepared to say anything I can assume they have been asked by the club to remain silent at the moment. IMO this is news item which is worth pursuing - particularly compared to some of the other outdated stuff they are prepared to print.'
I doesn't take much for someone to put a couple of sentences together and put this lot 'to bed' or otherwise!!

The reason it's gone down hill is due to the number of melts like yourself, who post that they are ITK, but then fail to deliver any details, other than 'I know more than you', and then get all upset when you're called twats. |
