What a truly awful decision it was in the summer to not buy wingers....forced to play narrow with no plan b....surely we will get a couple in jan 🙏 Wingers would not have helped us with all these goals conceded, probably make it worse. I really fear we are on a slippery slope and playing these league 2 sides next season. We need leadership on and off the pitch because without we are in trouble, |

On paper that was a fairly strong side DC put out tonight - a team that DC would have expected to have won that match. Worrying times!!

Whilst I'm not sorry to be out of this dreadful cup, the poor performance and errors from what on paper was a reasonably strong side is simply not acceptable. Confidence has completely evaporated and the next couple of months will be a test for DC. Yes there was poor recruitment by DC over the summer but there seems to be a malaise in the squad and I would struggle to pick 11 on Saturday who deserve to start. Time to dig- deep and hope there are funds for recruits in January. I won't name names but there are certainly 3 or 4 who really need to be shipped out in January.

Looking at the team selected we really were using all our first team players tonight against a makeshift Swindon side some are saying. Yet we have been beaten 4 2 @ home.
I can't wait for January..we are in desperate need better players. We are in such a poor position right now. Can't see how things are going to get better.

The trouble is until January I don't see what can be done. Certain players need to be told they're positions aren't solidified and will be moved on if they don't step up.

We need leadership on and off the pitch because without we are in trouble, I think it would, two solid banks of four and back to basics for players low in confidence BUT we havent even got that choice when moore is potentially the worse lg1 winger in the league and DC doesn’t seem to fully rate or trust broom |

I'm not worried about the defeat in this competition, but letting in 4 goals to a League 2 side again is embarrassing and demoralising.
I'm not sure how DC is going to lift the team for Saturday in a difficult match.
