Smith 4 not vocal or decisive enough Leadbitter 6 defended well and broke when he could Meyaneisse. 7 looked pretty solid Broadbent 7 as above Brown 6 had his work cut out Lines 7 tries his hardest to create but had to defend more Sercombe 7 as lines Sinclair 7 worked tirelessly and could have scored Nicholls 6.5 some bright patches but nothe his sort of game Gaffney 8 worked till he dropped forward and in defence Harrison 8.5 non stop working all game made important tackles and clearances and set up our only clear chance for sinclair
Partington 6 helped shut up shop
DC did t4he right thing today and went for the point pity it failed in last minute
Referee 6 got most things corrrect

I was not there but cannot agree with your comments that DC did the right thing today as far as I am concerned and my opinion is lack of experience cost us a point today by not wasting time bringing on substitutes at the very end and breaking up play

Smith 4 - Just doesn’t seem to communicate or command his backline.
Leadbitter 6 - got forward a lot but final ball was lacking Menayese - 6 solid other than one or two moments but would put the blame on Smith as above Broadbent - 6 solid other than one or two moments but would put the blame on Smith as above Brown 6 - beaten a bit too much but two viral clearances
Lines 4 - poor passes and often caught in posession. Sercombe 6 - not the best of games but wasn’t quite as bad as Lines Sinclair 6 - did what he did, and you need someone like him when we plan to try and soak up pressure
Nichols 6 - looked bright but stupid booking and who knows what would have happened had he stayed on
Gaffney Harrison
Ellis and Gaffers 8 - Both non stop running and getting back and helping out defensively. Not their fault the midfield wasn’t up to standard.
Sub: Partington 6 -
Crowd 3 - dead quiet crowd and we were louder although its nothing to shout about as we were quiet ourselves. no noise from scunny until their goal
Ref 6 - couple of questionable decisions both way; such as their penalty appeal concerning Ellis and their goal with the push on Lines.
Scunthorpe 6 - didn’t look particularly good, we invited them to attack all game and handled it pretty solidly up until the last minute.

Smith 5 failed to communicate or command, and some poor decisions on positioning.
Leadbitter 6 defensively fine but offers nothing in an attacking sense
Menayese 7.5 solid, not helped by Smith's indecision on a few occasions, but kept his head.
Broadbent 6.5, one big mistake, but generally did a good job
Brown 6, a mix of good, bad and ugly.
Lines 5.5 mixed, gave the ball away in some dangerous positions, as captain I'm not sure he rallied the troops in the way needed
Sercombe 6 didn't create much or get a sniff
Sinclair 6 worked, but struggled to impact
Nichols 5.5 game/position didn't suit him, tried but fell short, created nothing when he went off, didn't really create anything whilst he was on either, but at least we had an outlet, even if ineffective
Gaffney 6 didn't get in the positions where he might of threatened
Harrison 7.5, marked him down because he could easily have cost us a pen, but put in a shift defensively, unfortunately wasn't able to get opportunities at the other end
Sub: Partington 5.5
Can't help but feel we could of done with a fresh outlet, perhaps Telford for Gaffney, but DC very nearly got the point that would of been a very good result.
Crowd 5
Ref 6, could of given a foul for a push on Lines for the goal, but generally not too many complaints
Scunthorpe 4 for attacking, 9 for defending, so 6.5.

Smith 5.0
Leadbittèr 6.5 Broadbent 7.0 Menayese 7.0 Brown 5.5
Lines 5.5 Sercombe 6.0 Sinclair 6.5
Gaffney 6.5 Nicholls 5.5 Harrison 7.5
Sub Partington 6.0
Ref 6.5 Crowd 5.0 Scunthorpe 6.0
A devastating result to concede so late.Overaĺl I think Scunthorpe just about edged it because of their sustained effort late in the game. We had too few chances that I can recall (Free kick ingood position over the top by Lines in first half /Shot by Sinclair straight at keeper in second half and Harrison thwarted at near post by keeper from cross by Leadbitter). The effort was there from most of the team personified by Harrison clearing from corners and frequently popping up at left back to assist the defence and reasonably solid performances by both centre backs considering their lack of league experience.Good to see the reaction from most of the players at end of the game. The devastation on some of their faces at least showed they cared.

Dracula 4 prefer Slocombe - just
Leadbitter 5 with no more mid week games until Christmas I would like to see Leads given a run in the side Menayese 6 these 2 CB's have played about 190 mins together and conceded 1 goal right at the death of those Broadbent 6 when are we going to see one of his famed free kicks? Brown 4 so frustrating that he can't take a decent throw in. not sure after the last few weeks who is the best option at left back Browner or Bola?
Lines 5 had a lot of the ball and tried to be positive with it but sometimes his final was poor or his team mates were not on the same wavelength Sercombe 4 Roll on Billy Bob coming back and some alternatives in January Sinclair 4 worked hard
Nichols 4 Sacrificed after his booking for Parts to shore up the middle which reduced our limited attacking threat further but with Gaffers and Ellis already on the pitch and Telford not really showing much threat Gaffney 6 great shift Harrison 7 Shame he is having to cover for other peoples failures
Sub: Partington 5
Crowd 4 theirs 7 ours although we did not make much noise it was great that there was minimal abuse towards the team compared to recent away games Ref
Scunthorpe 4 not the team we played last season and surprised both van Veen and Madden could only make the bench

Waste time that would have just been added on anyway? Not always and it breaks up the play just ask sir alec So your criticism of DC is that he's not Alex Ferguson? Ok, that's reasonable.

We all know DC can do nothing right in your eyes anyway, but we all thought we'd get a kicking by Scunthorpe - and we didn't!
