1) Wrong thread. 2) Congratulations on winning the melodramatic poster of the week award. Problem is the "rose tinters" really need to wake up, as otherwise when it does all go Pete Tong they are going to be in for an hell of a shock, I guess from PH57's forum name like me he's been here before like him I am fearing where Wael's leading us. Why? What are you achieving that the rose tinters aren't? When it all goes wrong, what will be the difference for you? You'll be able to say I told you so. What else? You'll be able to say, 'I knew it was all going to go wrong, and all I did was whine a bit on the internet.' What else?

What the heck do the “rose tinters” need to wake up to? What do you “know” that we don’t seem to? I mean actual, real stuff not innuendo or rumours. After 50 odd years of supporting Rovers I’ve probably been here before as well but I’m not sure what we’re need to be waking up to. Please don’t say no ground because I know that. I also know we are on a bad run at the moment and I’ve seen plenty of those. We have problems at the moment I know. But it’s a serious question, what do I need to wake up to? I’d love to know! UTG!

If the first half yesterday wasn't a wake up call to the mess the club is in, I guess nothing will be for some. As far as what I will do I will support the likes of Gasincider & Swissgas rather than ridiculing them, as one day I might be able to thank them for saving the club. If we ever get chance to question Wael/Hani I'll get my list of questions off to 20man again. What are you going to do just sit and pretend everything is perfect at Rovers?

Another cracking thread ~ everyone knows things are not right on and off the field ~ some fans prefer to be positive and others want to have some sort of Mugabeesque coup. Nobody knows anything so we have to wait and support the team until the club decides to announce the plans for the future.

So, I've read the DC out now thread, fed up with that, read the Let down from the top thread, fed up with that, read the Sinking ship thread, fed up with that, so thought I'd start a thread for those of us that actually still have faith in Wael, faith in DC, faith that things will come right for us re Colony, new or developed ground, and despite a terrible run of 8 games, still enjoy going and watching the Gas. I'm probably on my own with this. Nice try mate, I was going to start a thread to say the same but in General Chat as it seems to be a bit less serious there.

I have never ridiculed anyone on here. Everyone has the right to their opinion. More to the point how are they saving Rovers? Again, serious question, what are they doing that is “saving the club?” You had your chance to question Wael yesterday didn’t you, didn’t he do a QA in the bar before the match. What did you ask him? Again, where did I say everything is perfect? I acknowledged the problems we have at the moment. When quoting please read my post before going off on one. UTG!

Off the pitch...owners decide the uwe deal would not offer a sustainable future for BRFC. All ongoing projects put on go slows until a new plan is up and running. President still mixes and talks with fans before at and after games. On the pitch....Unbalanced squad of young players hits a bad run of results .Manager is confident he will sort it out though it may lead to some players leaving and new ones coming in .
The crowd still sing we're rovers supporters ,we're faithful and true. We always follow , the boys in blue (and white) We all made a promise ,that we'll never part so goodnight Irene i'll see you in my dreams.

Been supporting the Gas for 50 years and for those on here who keep banging on about doom and gloom, trust me we've seen worse times, I will continue to support my team and manager whenever I can. I can't recall a similar period or doom and gloom after everything looked so positive, this time last year we were still in with a chance of the play offs, about to buy a training ground and the talks with the UWE sounding promising. Now we're worried about relegation, there's no sign of progress on the training ground and Wael apparently said yesterday there's even a hitch with regenerating the Mem. Added to that there's a £10m charge against the Mem and I fear neither Wael or DC have a clue how to get us out of the mess we're in. Short memory, Topper? 1987 just after a couple of good seasons under David Williams the squad was broken up, Hambrook sold, became homeless and almost were relegated to the bottom division for the first time in our history. 1991 not long after winning the title, Wembley and hoping to build a new stadium off Carsons Road we got to a point where Francis left taking some key players, we were not granted permission for the ground, spent good money on players yet still struggled under Dobson and suffered the arson attack. 2014 talked about nearly getting to the play offs to then get relegated to non league and learn that the one crumb of comfort of the UWE was about to be lost when rumours of Sainsburys pulling out in the summer. At the moment we have our own ground (poor, but it is ours) and the promised infrastructure remains just that so we haven't lost anything. Disappointed? Yes I am but for me this does not feel the same as those examples. Time will tell if these rumours are true or not, but to suggest it is unprecedented is perhaps over egging it.

That's it in a nutshell. At the end of the day we all want the same thing,a successful and prosperous Bristol Rovers, but the divide and conquer tactic has been rolled out once again and is succeeding.Reeks of Higgsy.

Amazed there's anyone left now who isn't seriously concerned about the situation. There is obviously a link between the situation off the field and the deteriation in results and performances. Yet on another thread I've been told by two separate posters that's nonsense. The link is a strange half baked transfer window that left us unbalanced and lacking cover for poor form or injuries despite the manager seeming very confident and telling us he was looking for 10 players and the chairman smiling broadly while announcing a top 6 budget. Its a bit like when you mow the lawn and fan belt breaks,it just dont look right like the team. But i dont believe myself that this makes the players were left with do stupid things like mysteriously allowing a drop kick from the wimbledon keeper to bounce and gift them a goal and numerous other crazy mistakes.

Summary taken from the other forum: "When asked about Mem and Colony he answered that the training ground will certainly happen and payments owed to contractor for work now resolved. As for Mem re development he said it was complicated and had hit snags but refused to give further details. " You mean our owner, the chap who stands with us at away games, sits with us on the train home and talks to other travelling Gas, wanders down Glos Rd to have a beer with us, does a quick Q&A on the spot, is actually talking to us? You must be out of your head as apparently he's totally ignorant and doesn't give a toss about us. Hani does all that stuff?

I agree with Topper - IMO the rose tinters definitely need to wake up.
You all need to pick one of any of the many unsubstantiated rumours and stop burying your head in the sand.
For starters, any day now, Matty Taylor will be off to Hearts. And that will be a huge loss.
I also heard from the corridors of power that Mark McGhee has quit Barnet and is in talks with Brian Seymour Smith about a takeover bid.
Alright fine, it wasn't the corridors of power - I overheard someone say it in the West Enclosure. But he definitely sounded sincere.
And anyway, none of this matters when you remember that nobody got paid last week. No wonder the performance against Wimbledon was so bad.
My mate seen Ollie Clarke last week and he said the players haven't been paid for weeks and all that was on offer was some rusty fence. My mate said to Ollie "surely not!", but then he realised he was eating a can of Pedigree chum. Shocking.
And before anyone lambasts that final snippet, I read about it on the Facebook Appreciation page so it's definitely true.
Wake up!!!!!!!
P.S If anyone wants any fencing done, let me know
