Mr Hamer admitted during GT interview that he reads this Forum. If thats so then it begs the question, would he have done the interview had this Forum been in a more positive mood?
If your opinion is no, he wouldnt have done the interview, then do you think that puts a certain responsability on the Forum's content?

Yes it's read by club management and probably some players and is taken as a barameter of fans opinions whether it influences anything is more questionable but without the formum and other social media we would not have heard from Hamer last night and it along with Facebook forced the club to break its silence on UWE.

If anyone really thinks that the running of our club is influenced by what is posted on here then I suggest you seek help at the earliest opportunity, most of the posts on here descend into farce within ten minutes, I'm sure the majority of fans don't even use the forum. It's fun at times, frustrating a lot of the time, but ultimately it's about individuals opinions, which we are all entitled too, just don't take it too seriously otherwise we will all end up going mad. Let's concentrate on supporting our club and look forward to the team turning it around under our excellent manager. UTG

UTG Fans don't have to directly read the forum for it to filter down and become a game of Chinese whispers, I've seen people referencing this forum many times of social media about stories that have been started on here. |

To be fair he was the middle man in the the takeover and if that takeover hadn’t happened then there’s a very good chance that we would have gone belly up the way the club was being run. Ok we’re now in situation where the man who holds the money doesn’t really like football but there have been improvements to the budget on the playing side and off the pitch and it looks as if the club is reasonably secure so the other side of the coin is that without him we might not even have a club to support. I know we’re all dissapointed we’re not building a new stadium or training ground yet but I’m not convinced that’s Hamer fault and I think name calling like “twat” is unfair. I think the correlation between him and WAQ and the fans needs work because it’s too confusing for us and I get the impression it is for Hamer too. I think things will settle down over the next few months off the pitch and we’ll all have a better idea of what’s going on. Is this forum influential ? Yes it is to some extent because it represents our fan base . |

Well I think it clearly is influential, because SH was given the unenviable task of facing up to Twentyman. Which wouldn't have even been a task at all until the issues raised by the forums had made it into one.
But then SH made it all go a little off-message by being honest.
That lunch with Hani can't have been too comfortable.

As a knee jerk reaction I initially voted No because I didn’t think that anyone would take a lot of the stuff posted on here seriously, but on reflection the evidence suggests otherwise and to my surprise I felt compelled to changed my answer to Yes. The nocturnal communication confirming the collapse of the UWE deal was not prompted by chants from the terraces and the persistent references to “negative vibes” around the place hasn’t spawned from the insightful musings of a local hack. The only logical conclusion is that the power of the keyboard and the vehicle of social media is genuinely mightier than the sword. However influence, albeit trivial, and in the eyes of the club undoubtedly a major irritant at the moment, comes with responsibility. The current round of postulating and supposition is clearly damaging the relationship between the supporters and the club, particularly as certain stories seem to take on a life of their own which are not entirely warranted. It would be amazing if the passion expressed on these pages could somehow be channeled in a more positive fashion (though ideally not via the happy bus 🚎 👏😊), and rather than divide seek to galvanise and restore faith in the future of the club. After all, we haven’t lost our potential and no matter what our connection to the club, or our individual motivation, we all collectively want the Gas to prosper.
