Gafney averages better than a goal every 180 minutes which is all you could ask from a striker so he’s been consistent . The only inconsistency with Rory is he doesn’t get a chance by being given a run in the team. isn't that something that you could have said about Ellis.
Ellis' goals to minutes ratio has been pretty good in the past having come off the bench and scored and not starting many games. When he started it wasn't the same.
personally I don't think our strikers are that bad. Nichols has been unfortunate most of the time and put in good performances.
Our strikers though are under pressure to score every chance because we are pretty sh** at keeping the ball out of our own net.
A better defence might ease the pressure on the strike force and vice versa etc, etc
I don't think saying Nichols has been unfortunate most of the time is a fair comment to be honest. You don't go all those games with hardly scoring by misfortune. If anyone should feel unfortunate then I think it should be Telford or maybe even Gaffney with lack of game time. Gaffney has scored more goals than Nichols and had more impact in games other than his goals IMO.

Yep I don’t really understand what’s going on with Telford? There looks to be a very good player in there but he never gets a chance, I would give him a go in front of Nichols for the next couple of games. What’s the worst that could happen? If you were Hani, and you saw DC wasn't even playing a guy you spent really good money on, how likely would you be to loosen the purse strings in Jan? This is probably why he has had so much game time this season. However, for the sake of the team and the bad run, I think DC knows he can no longer afford to just wait and see if he can start scoring regularly.

I do feel that if Gafney had started more games up front with Harrison we would be in a better position.
I would also like to know why Gaffeny pushes out so wide during games? Is this something he does naturally or is he told to?

Is this something he does naturally or is he told to? Dunno but to be fair he’s been doing it all season and has our best goals to game ratio so it works. I find it bizarre that he hasn’t been starting games “lately , particularly at home where he’s scored all but 1 of his Goals this season.

Yes. Good enough.
But I think we could do with another anyway.
Doesn’t seem to trust Telford yet. So another is needed.

Rickie on a short term 4/5 month deal, "come and help us stay up", surely is not out of the question ? similar to when BERFC brought in Andy Rammell, he only had one knee, but fired in goals to keep us up, never forget the goal Rambo scored away at Oxford.

Remember when Rammell bundled the Darlington goalie-Collett ex Gas- into the net but the goal stood and we stayed up. Wayne Carlise also scored with a sumptuous free -kick. Ray Graydon signed him.He used to travel from Derby but always looked knackered even during John Still's warm up routine.Graydon managed him at Walsall so guess that was the connection.
