So I will mention it. City vs Man U. I watched it. And I thoroughly enjoyed the game. It was a cracker. All great goals and City absolutely deserved it. Joe Bryan is an absolutely fantastic full back and his goal was world class. Congrats to them. Have to say LJ has got them playing and they have great momentum carrying them forward.
But the stadium is one of the key components in driving them forward. It’s not the most aesthetically pleasing but it offers everything needed to push that club forward, and full up like it was tonight with a big team, that will only draw more Bristolians to them.
You cannot underestimate what a new stadium would absolutely do for us and we need one within 3 years minimum or I don’t think we will ever come out of the shadow of City. We will become the Notts County of Bristol, always looking over the other side of town at their ground and accomplishments.
I really hope our owners were watching at the gate tonight to see what we need, why we need it so badly and why we need it quickly. We will miss out a whole generation of football fans. They talk about evolution, but sometimes you also need to look at and focus on the present. Presently, City have a real shout of the prem and if they achieve that, I don’t think we will ever have the same share of the spoils again. Presently we have a ramshackle of a ground with no prospects of even building one and stagnating in L1.
A real reality check.

BTW Great Pass by the Snake, sort of thing he used to do for us

I’m hurting a lot right now yet directly this has very little to do with us.
If they make it into the premier league we’re in big trouble. Not based on present support, as that will get by. But for the future. Kids won’t want to come and see us.

Wael and Co should be on the phone to UWE again and sorting a deal out there. This evolution not revolution taking us backwards. They need to pull their finger out here, we are in competition with the sh** always for Suport whilst we are playing in a sh**e ground we will forever be a long way behind. my patience has almost run out and by the end of January I'm sure there will be a lot more vocal supporters on here and at games if out position has not changed.

This one had upset written all over it. They have so much momentum right now. Their future is looking rosy (especially now we have decided not to provide them with local competition!) Still assholes though!

Have to admit it was a good game, and they've got Man City in the semi-finals, first leg away.
Only consolation is that it might take their eye off the ball re. promotion.

Bristol City have a backer who is worth over £1 billion. I say it again we must now give up on any future plans or visions ( stadium / revamping) as it it costing the club millions. I don't say it to be unpopular or attention seeking. I say it because the 6 failed project since 1997 as and is costing our clubs millions. Who pay's for each failed project ?. I wonder why we average a top 6 club but have a wage structure of a bottom 6 club ?. And I love to get access to the exact figure these 6 project's have cost us in total ?.
I predicted on the old forum and this forum all project will fail and they did. Our mission now should be safeguarding division one status. It should be trying to increase the wage structure. And if need be applying to the football trust for the 'grant' to increase a section of the mem when needed. Unless of course we have someone somewhere with money..

Notts County have a decent ground, so that point makes no sense.
I saw a bit of the second half and united looked hopeless, and yet they should of gone through, really messed up two two v ones plus a few other chances.
On the Rovers v city front I never give up, fortunes in football are highly changeable, our day will come, they will face another demise. Just look at a league table from 10 years ago, for example and see how various clubs' success has varied. It is always possible.

Worst thing about watching tonight, Phil Nevilles bias, the sh!t were much better than United tonight. I do however fancy Man City to thump the sh!t over 2 legs, they are miles ahead of United and rest of clubs in the Prem. Fair play to them though.
Our board need to wake up.

We are ahead of schedule on the playing side, it's having got out of league two that has us all looking at the big step up, which is to the championship. If we'd of been tenants at uwe then I for one am glad it wasn't agreed. We still don't know what the plan for the mem is, only time will tell. Unfortunately, as football fans we live virtually entirely in the present of what the result was last week and what it'll be next!
