Yet another kick in the Bollocks for our club tonight. We have invisible owners who have gone from being carried down Glos Road after a few months in charge, to not even communicating through the club's website via text, video... wtf is going on at our club.

In hindsight what a bloody cheek taking the praise for DC's hard work. Had we known then what we do now, I'm sure the blokes carrying Wael aloft would've kept going down Gloucester Rd and tossed him over Bristol bridge.

I couldn't give a monkeys about them , never have , never will. Until we are both in the same division again ( not likely for a while ) they don't exist to me. End of.

In fairness, we've always been the underdogs of Bristol in my lifetime, and I'll be 40 next year - for a lot of that time we weren't even in Bristol! But that has only made it sweeter on all those occasions when we've succeeded and they've failed.

Yet another kick in the Bollocks for our club tonight. I wouldn't have minded so much but two ex colleagues with very poor memories sent me genuine messages congratulating me on the win.

So I will mention it. City vs Man U. I watched it. And I thoroughly enjoyed the game. It was a cracker. All great goals and City absolutely deserved it. Joe Bryan is an absolutely fantastic full back and his goal was world class. Congrats to them. Have to say LJ has got them playing and they have great momentum carrying them forward. But the stadium is one of the key components in driving them forward. It’s not the most aesthetically pleasing but it offers everything needed to push that club forward, and full up like it was tonight with a big team, that will only draw more Bristolians to them. You cannot underestimate what a new stadium would absolutely do for us and we need one within 3 years minimum or I don’t think we will ever come out of the shadow of City. We will become the Notts County of Bristol, always looking over the other side of town at their ground and accomplishments. I really hope our owners were watching at the gate tonight to see what we need, why we need it so badly and why we need it quickly. We will miss out a whole generation of football fans. They talk about evolution, but sometimes you also need to look at and focus on the present. Presently, City have a real shout of the prem and if they achieve that, I don’t think we will ever have the same share of the spoils again. Presently we have a ramshackle of a ground with no prospects of even building one and stagnating in L1. A real reality check. I thought we had another section of the forum to talk about general football?

On the plus side, I decided to put my unlucky gambling curse on the Teds tonight by betting on them to win. In the unlikely event that I actually won a bet I thought it’d soften the blow, but more likely it’d scupper their chances. The win has netted me a cool £50 Billion which I’m fully intending to plough back into the Gas. As soon as I can get him on Twitter or Instagram I’ll be popping in an offer to Wael. I’ve set my alarm to get up nice and early and beat the traffic so I can be at UWE for 9am to get this deal sorted once and for all. I’m going straight for the £35K capacity option. No point in fannying about. Oh and I’ve already secured Bodin for the next 5yrs and paid for Santa’s grotto to have a wipe down for Saturday. The win doesn’t look so great now does it you rosy-faced lady garden?!

Yet another kick in the Bollocks for our club tonight. How? Fair play to them but this won't affect us in the slightest. We know we are far behind on facilities and budget to just about every team in the championship, it's our job to do something about it. Our time will come KTF

Notts County have a decent ground, so that point makes no sense. I saw a bit of the second half and united looked hopeless, and yet they should of gone through, really messed up two two v ones plus a few other chances. On the Rovers v city front I never give up, fortunes in football are highly changeable, our day will come, they will face another demise. Just look at a league table from 10 years ago, for example and see how various clubs' success has varied. It is always possible. In the sense that most Notts Locals support forest. Fact. The Clough Era followed by a few years in the top flight collated a mass army of supporters that County can only dream of. That is what I mean. Your comment about the game is said with Gas bias. City were brilliant tonight. Their opening goal was fantastic. They played on the front foot and didn’t play too deep and counter attacked with pace. Marlon Pack has Pogba in his pocket all night and Rashford got nothing from Bailey Wright. They absolutely deserved to win it.

Our time will come KTF I hope you're right, at the moment it feels like we're fast becoming an irrelevance in this city. We absolute must improve or the next generation (or several) of football fans will have little difficulty in choosing who to support. We're way behind as it is, I dread to think how much further behind we'll be if they get to the Prem. Have to say though that I watched the match tonight as the only Gashead in a family of sheeds, and sadly it was an excellent performance by them. They thoroughly deserved their win and well done to them. Still hate them though!

There's a thread about the game on the general chat forum. Why not contribute to that?

City have their house in order and they are reaping the rewards. As did Brighton, Swansea et al before them. Tonight should have put the fire in the belly of our owners to say, fair play to them, but we need a bit of that as well, and get on the phone first thing tomorrow morning and get things in motion.

Agreed we need to concentrate on us, but we have to be aware of our local competition as well in my opinion. Like it or not, their fortunes and ours are linked to an extent, as there will only ever be a finite number of football fans in the West country, and the way it's going, a larger and larger percentage will be reds. We have to be aware of that in order to battle our corner and rise to the challenge of sticking with them as best we can. Won't be possible unless the owners come up trumps, which the way they've carried on recently, looks unlikely.
