Calls for Lansdown to splash the cash this transfer window. Only redeveloped the dump for £45 million and spent £5.3 million on Diedhiou. First world problems eh. Not that I particularly want to talk City, but this is there chance. If you were Lee Johnson you would be asking for money to spend to make the dream true

If you were Lee Johnson you would be asking for money to spend to make the dream true Simon, this is their best chance for years since the Hull final which they should have won, they will be in the play offs for certain, but by buying Byron Moore for 3 million it would be top two! No think he will get some investment as Lansdown knows they are close to realising his dream. Ready to have radio and Tv silence come May, and no papers😂

Is that all they took? water poor IMHO, even if is New years day and on tv! 2,000 according to R Bristol, which is hardly a massive following for NY's Day, perhaps they are saving their money for Man C! 2100, which is the full allocation Villa offered.

I reckon their players were out on the water new years eve. A bit of a coincidence that they have been on this great run and suddenly get beat 5-0 on new years day!

This thread was never about City anyway.
It was started to say, look at what a local club with good facilities can achieve, if only we had the same. It should be served as motivation to achieve something similar and to have a bit of the action.
Did chuckle at the 5-0 tho....

Did chuckle at the 5-0 tho.... exactly. we should be trying to elavate ourselves to where they are rather than hope they implode and join us. Two bristol clubs at the top of the championship and ultimately in the premiership. We seem satisfied when we get a rare chance to gloat that will probably only be temporary.

There was a really good segment on Talk Sport earlier discussing old grounds over new. Near enough everyone on there said the matchday experience has changed for the worse since moving to new mega stadiums. I’m not saying we should put up with what we’ve got but it does make me think with good planning we could get the best of both worlds from a regenerated Mem. Pros and cons for both but there's got to be something in having your club in its spiritual heartland rather than stuck on the edge of the M4?

Yeh let's wait until we've had £150m thrown on players and a stadium tart up before we're allowed to gloat at the wankers.

Shouldn't you have added "in my opinion" as none of us really have a clue what their intentions are but why spend £1m+ on The Colony and then not develop it.

Would make a great plot for building some nice houses on.... Maybe they could build some houses on 9 of the 29 acre land available and use the profit to build the academy With the relaxation of then planning laws coming in this year for green belt land it could be an option they may want to look at ?
