Just what we all love about a game of footy, it can be quite depressing, and then there's that perfect little moment just at the end when you think you've wasted your time.
EDIT. For all the teds on here (don't know why you are on tonight of all nights!).
Just so frustrating this game of footy, how depressing, looked like being the perfect evening, and then that goes and happens just when you think you've manage to waste all that time.

And your bitterness and childishness evenly so. I hate them. But fair play to them for knocking out the biggest club in this country who had £250M worth of talent playing, and fair play to them tonight for only losing by the odd goal to the best team in this country who had Sergio Aguero, Kevin De Bruyne, Yaya Toure, Raheem Sterling, John Stones, Kyle Walker, Danillo, Mangala, Gundogan, Sane and Bernad Silva a total of about £500M on the pitch, in a Semi Final of a major Cup competition. Bitterness? Joker. Run along . fairplay and f**k them, bet they will slide out the top 6 they’ve had their luck

Too right, f**k em. The Bristol City admiration society on Gaschat is f**king sickly, it’s enough to make you urge. The only reason I say fair play to them is because if the situations were reversed there is no way in hell that lot would be applauding us- and that is exactly as it should be. Instead of applauding they would be putting pressure on their board to level the playing field. By contrast we have pretty much lost all ambition to challenge them.

Bravo, Mangala and Stones cost about £100million between them. Just let that sink in!

I watched the game. Like it or not, they are a good side. Lost 4 on the bounce now, but I can't see that lasting.
Fair play to them. Doing well despite not spending ridiculous amounts on players.
It's a shame we're not up there with them, but as someone once said - "these things take time".

Im gutted....feel let down...Manchester city had the opportunity tonight to destroy 1982 sports dept. They failed to deliver ,not impressed.
Fair play to the snake charmers though in hanging in there . Every dog has its day. A 2-1 defeat at the Etihad is probably their best ever result.

The replay and cup run is going to sap the life out of them, as it so often does with underdogs.
Prepare for a swift fall out of the top 6.
They will earn several million squids which they don't need anyway, and miss out on the Duke's dream.

They are obviously playing above themselves in the big cup games and can't replicate that every week- which is as you would expect otherwise they wouldn't be playing for City in the first place!

Not having that. You're more likely to lose 5-0 by accident than beat 4 premier league sides by accident.

The only thing that really annoys me, as a club, we look more water pot than ever, the gap is absolutely huge. Probably bigger than at any time. Ground, team, infrastructure. Fingers crossed, maybe we'll get a new pasty stand for the start of next year🙏

No mate, not in the league cup. Think you'll find they do count, but only after extra time. The snake charmers would have to win 1-0 in 90 minutes and keep it clean for another 30.
