If it was any more sanded we'd be at a beach! Why is it so bad we've had a 2 week break?!

I said doing anything to the pitch was a big mistake. Fine how it was, home record said it all. If it aint broke...

Did our groundsman retire with ill health last year, seems the pitch was laid poorly in the summer. Do we have a grondsman or is it still being done by contract gardeners?

I hope to God we didn't pay whoever laid it. It is an absolute disgrace. It nearly cost us a goal when Smithy's goal kick took a huge chunk with it and landed at their striker's feet.

They should re do it for nothing it’s embarrassing getting like Newport’s last season, but they have a great playing surface now, we should be suing them for Fraud.

The pitch in the last game of the season against Millwall was excellent as it had been all season. Then we get rid of the slightly embarrassing hose sprinklers and have to relay the pitch to accommodate an underground system. Result, pitch ruined. I wonder if the same company was used this time as the one two or three years ago who gave us a great playing surface and our groundsman won awards for?

The pitch is one thing we should be refusing to pay for. It looks cut up even before kick off. It is almost like we have the egg chasers back on it.
We want our old pitch back, we want our old pitch back...

For maybe 3 seasons we at last had a beautiful pitch, then they decide to relay it and now look at it!! Just about sums up 2017 for bristol rovers fc. Start the year with the taylor fiasco end it with the 100k pitch falling apart.

A strange decision to spend £150k (?) on a pitch that was apparently fine, when we needed funds invested in players who could help us push on in L1.
But perhaps no more mysterious than many other things that have happened at our club of late.
I don't know what is going on, but I do think Santa Claus won't be stopping off at Horfield this year.

The pitch is a disgrace, half a season and the weather hasn't been that bad. Imagine the rugger buggers playing on that, they would destroy it in one game.

Surely the stadium manager is ultimately responsible or accountable for pitch status?
Obviously the groundsman or any pitch work must report to him.

The pitch isn't a pitch anymore it's a bloody sand pit.
It's been totally ruined and it's going to get a lot worse before the end of the season.

The pitch may have looked good the past couple of seasons but if have been on it you'd know it was very bumpy. Seems they have switched bumpiness for durability. Another concern today. Floodlights, seemed to take an age today before they were turned up
