Went to get something to eat from the main hut in Blackthorn end about 8 mins before kick off today only to find they had sold out of pies etc. I asked if there would be anymore and was told not until half time. During the first half i overheard many people complaining there was no hot food. I also heard people saying the staff (About five of them) were stood doing nothing because they had nothing to do, apart from not seeming to give a s*it and saying they were not allowed to put the pies etc in the warmers until half time. So i go to the hut at half time only to have to wait as they were not ready, i complained to the supervisor and manager but again they did not really give a sh*t. Surely it is not that hard to time it so the food is ready and waiting and also to have it available throughout the game. Just pis*ed off surely in this day and age we should expect something better, also must be costing club revenue as i heard a lot of people say they could shove it now. Utg !

As a member of the public that wants to buy a product at a more expensive price point due to the convenience then it is paramount that there are sufficient product to buy. Even more so when they have a captive market for 2 hours.
When you peel it all back, it’s contentment of the fans that is why it’s so water poor. Catering manager/caterers not dealing with it, commercial director not holding caterer to account

It's difficult because there is no one at the club giving any leadership off the field.

20 mins in the South Stand queue and when you get there the food they have is not the same as the posters on the doors of the huts.
And why do they keep changing what bloody pies they sell each week?? You have to wait 20 mins to find out they don't have what you want.
From what I can gather there is no consistency from hut to hut either. Few weeks ago HTY wanted a balti pie but they were not available (again) only to read on here that lots of people had bought and enjoyed one in a different part of the ground.
I'm sacking off bothering with buying food at the Mem and going back to bringing a sandwich. watered off with Rovers water poor catering.

In my opinion there was nothing wrong with the pies before they changed them. I think the pie tasting exercise was just a rouse so the new commercial director could implement the change to piglets pies. Now they are not as good and neither is the football lol

I can't understand why drinks are not ready to go.
It would be much more efficient if one person ensured there were constantly 5 teas, 5 coffees and 5 cokes ready to go, whilst another handed them out and took payment.
I'm sure the club would take more money too.

I don't usually notice too many issues with the food at the mem although they never seem to have a full choice of items to pick from.
However yesterday was pathetic. Behind the Thatchers end they ran out of everything apart from Veggie pies and pasties, presumably the last thing to go in the oven. That was 20 minutes before the game even started! Staff were stood about watching with nothing better to do and there was nothing crossed off the menus so there was big queues for nothing and they took much longer to go down as everyone was asking what they had.
It's so frustrating seeing other grounds deal with far bigger menus promptly and professionally. Our lot can't even count the change properly when it gets busy.

Had tried the Piglets sausage roll and chicken tikka pie before, both excellent. Decided to try the steak and ale pie yesterday. Never again. £3.80 for a pie with hardly any filling, total rip off.

I must admit I have thought the same to ' bring my own' but football for me would not be the same, going to matchday and having a pie or pasty is part of it. For a very long time the service was rubbish and the pies were spot on, now unfortunately it is both that are rubbish. Time to sort it out rovers, on and off the pitch. UTG

The Piglets thing is making it too complicated. Stick to 3 or 4 options and do them well. Don't try and be too clever

Out of date crisps were still being sold too in the east terrace. Someone mentioned it couple weeks ago, but nothing has been done about it.

Young lady serving for the South Stand was struggling to add up the prices! Very poor from the club. Resulted in massive queue and many people getting to their seats late and getting in my bloody way.

Very poor, sold out of hot food before kick off.
To many Indians and no chiefs springs to mind!!
Dread to think how bad it will be on 1/1

Don't think the food can be worst than the football can it?
