Smith 6.5 - One good save but could have done better for the goal
Partington 6.5 - Steady but unspectacular
Brown 6 - Struggling a bit
Lockyer 6.5 - Looked shaky after the substitution
Broadbent 7.5 - Immense looks a good player
O Clarke 6.5 - Improved in recent games
Sinclair 8 MOM - much more positive, well played that man
Lines 5 - Why did D.C. return him to that negative deep position?
Nichols - 5 Very average
Gaffney 6.5 - Ran with no real impact
Bodin 6.5 - Good in flashes
Harrison 7 - Made a difference will be lucky to keep him
Sercombe 7 - as above
Sweeney 6 - Bang average
Ref 5 - Not great
Crowd 8 - Great backing
D.C. 8 - apart from Lines, got it right
Pompey 5 - Not very good apart from the number 11
Better performance against a form team. Need reinforcements especially with a few injuries creeping in. Must try to keep our better players. UTFG !!

Smith 6 not over worked ,starting to win me over Partington 5 ok, lacks pace for the fullback position Lockyer 6 did ok but against their big centre forward in the air his lack of height was telling at times Broadbent 7 very good up to his injury Brown 5 mixed bag some good some bad Lines 6 don't like him sat so deep O. Clarke 6 getting better still more to come i hope Sinclair 8.5 really good game and goal Bodin 6 even not at his best still a threat Nichols 5 quite good first half not so second half Gaffney 4 nothing really came off for him today Subs: Sweeney 6 did ok Harrison 8 game changer, we looked like scoring when he came on Sercombe 7 like Ellis we looked better in the final third and got the winner Crowd 8 Ref 6 Portsmouth 6 looked leggy and relied on the big man up front for any goal threat, their number eleven played well. |

Partington 6.5 Solid, but I think he has more to offer in MF
Lockyer 7 Good; took one for the team in blocking that thunderbolt of a shot
Broadbent 7 Puffing after 10 minutes, but a big presence and fearful when he sets off on one
Brown 6 Did what Brown does, week in and week out
Lines 6.5 OK, but not one surging run
O. Clarke 6 Still out of sorts, but better
Sinclair 7 Not only ran around but influenced the outcome

Partington 6.5 unfortunately, done one thing wrong.
Lockyer 7 done ok.
Broadbent 7.5 really done ok.
Brown 6.5 legend.
Lines 7 nice touches.
O. Clarke 6.5 needed to make way.
Sinclair 8 m o m everywhere and everything goes into a stew.

Gaffney 6.5 good effort.
Subs: Sweeney 7 missed another header!
Harrison 7.5 great movement.

Crowd 6 quiet especially for such a turnout.

Portsmouth 6.5 belied their form but gotta ask questions of their keeps whom could've done better for both goals..

Smith 7 does the basics ok a decent league One keeper Partington 6 average but full back is not his best position Lockyer 7.5 a good game Broadbent 8 solid as a rock and looked decent going forward Brown 6 good going forward a couple of iffy moments further back Lines 6 played too deep to bring out his strengths O. Clarke 6 an improved performance but still not up to last season. Sinclair 8.5 M.o.M a real Roy of the Rovers game Bodin 6 flickered in and out Nichols 5 a few nice touches but made little impact Gaffney 6 grafted well but little service Subs: Sweeney 6 ok Harrison 7 improved the front line Sercombe 7 improved the midfield Crowd 7 good numbers Ref 7 he only looked about 12 but handled the game quite well ! Portsmouth 5 not up for it,mind you neither were their usually impressive fans |

Lockyer 8 Reads the game so well and so confident and composed on the ball at times. Think anyone that was too critical of him will be left to eat their words.
Broadbent 8 Solid and composed on the ball. Bargain buy.
Brown 6.5 Weakest of defence but still played ok, nearly cost us a goal with a cheap pass.
Lines 7 Better from Lines. Sat deep but still made 1 or 2 runs.
Clarke 7 Starting to get much better.
Sinclair 9 MOTM - Outstanding display, great on and off the ball. Great to see being more positive going forward.
Bodin 7 - Looked a threat, Pompey players always surrounded him when he got the ball and was looking to shoot.
Nichols 6.5 - Much better from Nichols. Playing it on the floor helped him, still needs to impact games more though.
Gaffney 6.5 - Did ok, expected more from him though.
Sweeney 6 - OK.
Sercombe 7.5 - Did ok when he came on, obviously the winning goal bumps his mark up!
Harrison 7.7 - Absolute menace when he came on, looked a constant threat. Hope he calms down a bit otherwise we could be in real danger of losing him.

Ref 8 - Got unnecessary stick at times from our fans. One of the best I have seen for a while. Fair.
Pompey 7 - Very organised and solid defensively, very hard to break down. We didn't give them much of chance as we moved the ball around so well.
