My local club Shrewsbury are advertising for every home game children under the age of 8 are free of charge for the remainder of the season just a though on how other teams try to attract fans
also they have done a deal with West Ham for the cup replay for a maximum of £10.00 per person less for some. At last someone is thinking about the cost to the fans

We had 10,000 at our last home game.
How may do Shrewsbury get compared to the capacity of their ground?

We usually do offers for cup games it's just we don't play that many!

No because my grandson was 8 last week, but I am coming to the game with other relatives who live in Bristol as it was planned a long time ago otherwise I would not

We had 10,000 at our last home game. How may do Shrewsbury get compared to the capacity of their ground? The stadium capacity is just under 10,000 for shrewsbury. The last 3 seasons they have averaged about five and a half thousand. This season they are at an average of 6,250 So a good rise but still only just 2/3rds full on average.
Rovers are averaging 8.760 from a 12,000 capacity. So slightly over 2/3rds full on average.

All the people I either go with or meet at the ground (which is a broad spectrum) are all pretty happy with the admission prices to be honest....
A while back I used my bring a friend voucher for my partner plus 2 seniors, cost me £18 to bring 3 people along....

Slightly off topic, but I think our prices (and League One in general) are appropriate. I feel - perhaps wrongly, that our money gets spent on the upkeep of the ground, or people's wages, or utility bills, whatever it might be needed for, it's not like the Premier League where attendances could fall to zero and they'd barely notice due to the crazy sponsorship/TV deals in place.
I have this argument fairly regularly whenever these Premier League fans chirp up about capping ticket prices at £20 in some cases. Doesn't affect us too much, but imagine Greater Manchester or Merseyside, why would any undecided or casual supporter pay £18 to go and watch Rochdale/Bury/Oldham/Tranmere/Chester when for £20 they could watch Everton/that other lot/Man C/Man U?
