As I said, just something that came on my radar yesterday - I know the club have issues with South Stand area - bar, food and drink etc... but it would have to be some mega issues to totally remove the stand surely... They are already scaling things back - I was told that they no longer sell vegetable pasties on Saturday.

I can't believe that some are now selling for 15k stadiums, im sure we could build more like 20k seater if it is to be the men. In all honesty I don't think anything will be built, I have lost faith and belief that our owners want to build a modern ground. At least they had a nice tour of MK Dons ground though, what waste of time. You're right. There is no money.

Actually, credit where it's due the 2 servers there this weekend were very good.

Actually, credit where it's due the 2 servers there this weekend were very good. I was offered a Cheese and Onion pie, as the only veggie option they sell now. We were later than usual (2.40), due to parking problems, and me having to walk at snail's pace, I'd rather be told that they'd sold out, at least I could have tried one of the other huts.

From my understanding under EFL rules the one of the requirements is that all stadiums have to have a minimum amount of seating, if we did not have the temporary stands then we would fall below the requirements to be in the football league. That is why these stands were erected. So if the south stand was to go it would have to be replaced somewhere in the ground with another seated stand, hopefully this would be precursor to more major stadium improvements although I doubt it.

Is this the new stadium thread? No this is "we've now no tents" thread, as unless the ALQ's have found some way to get pp agreed in secret by the BBC planners then it seems v. unlikely we're going to get a replacement south stand nor a new permanent club shop this summer. Although were's this rumour come from, somebody actually ITK or another wild rumour coming from the CoP just to try and undermine the BoD a bit more and so require some kind of response from the club?

The OP is not one for wild rumours and certainly not someone with any agenda either for, or against the club.

Perhaps we’re getting a temporary stand instead of a temporary tent.
Blackpool/Bournemouth style.

Just had a look on the EFL website and it states that where a club remains a member of the football league they have until the 1st of May of their third season from the date of admission to the league to comply with the requirement to achieve a capacity in accordance with the membership criteria. Which is Min Capacity 5000 and Min seated of 2000. Not sure if that is up to date because isn't AFC Wimbledons capacity 4850?

Really hope this isn't true. Bad news if it is. The South stand used to be a quiet place to watch from, now though it can generate a bit of atmosphere, Saturday was a prime example, after the second went in that was the loudest I've heard it.

Like i said... Just putting it out there to see if anyone can validate/flattly deny. I cant see it happening personally but it sounded a little hopeful in regards to stadium dev. However, if you think im stirring Topper then so be it....

Does anyone know what the caveats are with regards the South Stand? Could we extend it the whole width, raise the height for further rows and could we make it more permanent without lengthy planning?
