There has been plenty of teams that have thrown cash at promotion, yet not achieved it. We threw some cash around in the summer on Sercombe and Nicholls, only 50% success rate at the moment (hoping that will change in the run in). Slow and steady, evolution not revolution has to be the way forward and I think we are seeing that. We are building for a promotion push in the 2019/20 season. Next year, will be too soon imho. scoff

That is the big question. When? The developers for the training ground were announced before new year. No plans are in public eye. UWE was over before the start of the season and we are none the wiser what the plans are regards to stadium developments. I have lost my belief in the board personally. A new ground would have made this club, I can't understand why it had now been accepted that we hear very little. Until we are playing in a modern stadium we will forever be a league 1/2 club. We would easily fill a 20k seater in my opinion. Let's all be honest our season will certainly not end in a play off chase, but our numbers still even on cold and wet Jan and Feb days are pretty good. No evidence we could "easily fill" a 20k seater stadium, just fantasy island stuff. I'm sure you are a WUM. Okay butterfly. I would expect us to see gates of at least 15k if we had a 20k seater. With the right prices, take Bradfords model for example, large gates even at league 1 can be achieved.

The fact the 82er's are filling AG is surely "evidence" we could easily fill a 20K seater, although whether it's a 18K or 20K all seater is a bit academic, the facts it's a new 24/7 stadium is surely the main issue. Unless you feel we should build a 15K for now then an 18/20K in 5 years time when we'll need it in the Championship!

I get this feeling that some of our fans simply underestimate the potential of our fan base with the correct infrastructure.

There is no guarantee we would fill a 20k stadium so I think BB is right to be sceptical.
Unfortunately it isn't a case of build it and they will come or MK would be sold out every week.

No guarantee but we would definitely get more day trippers and floating fans to a nice new stadium, it’s only us die hard s that put up with the antiquated mem.

There is a case for both sides, I imagine clubs with newer grounds - with the caveat that their performances have improved and they've used additional money to strengthen on the pitch, have seen increased attendances and subsequently revenues. Off the top of my head, Brighton are the example everyone looks at, but Colchester too have a nice new ground, Hull & Leicester too (though they've benefited from Premier League monies). In theory too, if we had one of those newer style ground, you like to think there'd be less cause to keep having to repair or refurbish the damn thing!

I don't think we would have to drop prices even that low. When we were doing £10 on the day i remember gates being much larger

I don't u understand building 15k then adding another 5k to it. Surely it is more economical to do it all in one hit. If wael and Co on Thursday, as we all know Thursday is the media day, announce plans for a 20k all seater then I think we would all be happy as Larry.

So that's £34000. 8000 at @20 =£160000. With less crowd management

Would settle for any update from the Board,so at least we know their intentions. Not sure how long their silence can go on.

Demis Roussos with the high pitched voice sang it, mother in law was always playing it, drove me nuts.

No evidence we could "easily fill" a 20k seater stadium, just fantasy island stuff. more evidence pointed towards that we would than if we wouldn’t So we suddenly get 20k gates ahead of clubs like ipswich, reading, cardiff, fulham, hull c and bolton?

Using MK dons as an example is non founded as they are a plastic football club with no history playing in a 30000 stadium with 7000 fans because they’re owner overestimated their potential support from a town that had until fairly recently never experienced football whereas we’ve had a history of being shafted as supporters but continue to keep the faith much in the same vain as perhaps Brighton , also you should look to look at Hull ,Reading,Swansea and possibly Cardiff as better examples which are 4 clubs we were once much bigger than yet overnight their support grew quite significantly with the right infrastructure in place . Don’t be naive to our potential.😉

Most Bristol Rovers fans are from Bristol or have strong connections. I can't imagine too many of them came from all corners of the country to watch us. The numbers speaks for themselves. Put is in a modern football stadium and we will do each week..
