Going from what I've seen this season, and reading what others have posted from yesterday, it looks like DC has found us real gem. He seems to be getting better and better. Considering where he came from just a few months ago, he's looking like he's our first choice centre back, who would have thought that in August?
Well done DC for firstly finding him, then playing him over more experienced players.

Any idea how long his contract is? Dated 9th January. Bristol Rovers defender Tom Broadbent has signed an extended, undisclosed-length contract with the League One club. The 26-year-old former Army centre-back joined The Gas in July and has made 16 appearances so far this season. "He has done very well in his first season at this level," manager Darrell Clarke told the club website. "He still has a great deal to learn, but he is very keen to progress and I enjoy working with him."

MOM yesterday, absolutely brilliant. What a find. Tough, committed, smart and skilful. At last looks like DC has fixed the bit in the middle

He's been the solid one in the back 4. Big, strong, hard as nails (which you'd expect with army conditioning), no nonsense, and can also play the ball out of defence. Has the odd dodgy moment but they are far outweighed by the good points. Given his relative lack of football experience he's a bloody marvel.

Having TC next to him will make a massive difference to his improvements, I hope they stay together as a pairing

An excellent prospect if he continues performing as of recent games for us. It's not very often you pick up a player of his age without any Football League experience. The last one I can remember was Graham Day back in the 1970's who came into league level in uis twenties.

Think Larry Lloyd came to us in a similar way ? Difference with Broadbent I don't think he has been nurtured alongside an experienced centre half like Stuart Taylor. IMHO Broadbent has come in and been the mainstay ??

Talk about solid as a rock. And can play. And still young. Great signing.

If he keeps on improving at the rate he currently is, we’ll be selling this guy for decent money in the future IMO.

Clearly liked roberto Carlos and Rio Ferdinand as a kid as he’s a blend of both in style

Told at the game yesterday that he sent a video of himself to DC with a view to a trial. Will find out, but however he got here, we do have a gem of a player.
