Interesting insight on himself - makes a mockery of how he was portrayed in his first spell at rovers by a certain forumer

Being a local lad he understands the fans and our ups and downs! He's be a great servant to the club despite unwarrented tittle tattle from some of our fans

I love linsey, he’s always been a creative player , capable of a stroke of class to turn a game but since he’s come back he gets stuck in , see things defensively before others and has a grit about him that’s typical of Darrell Clarke’s teams. I think it’s a combination of more experience , having DC as manager, playing alongside people like Stuart Sinclair (who have never known the money or higher level like chris has ) and of course being a Gashead and now knows he’s going to finish his career at his boyhood club and he’s giving it everything in every game and as a Gashead since I was a boy too I couldn’t ask for any more than that.
I’m not going to lie first time round I wasn’t that keen on him I thought that he was a luxury , not the kind of player you’d want when the chips were down and it was backs sgsinst the wall time , there were a few of those around our club at the time and he was young and Impressionable and it was Definitely the right thing to move on but he’s come back a different Chris Lines.

I’m not one to hold a grudge , I go on what I see. No rose tinting here , eyes wide open.

Good find by the op,some nice little snippets of info. I think dc is the perfect manager for lines,at times under dc his form has tailed off and dc wastes no time in dropping him and he always comes back into the team firing on all cylinders. He one of a special group who have been brilliant overall from conference days to the present.

As a young lad making it in the first team he was part of the drinking culture, thinking he could go out on the town every weekend etc. Every interview he does now he says how he's learned to look after his body and eat and drink the right things, and how playing extra years will help his family's life in the future. Clearly a wiser head now, it comes with age but also playing championship football and seeing how those guys handle themselves (other than the odd few taxi stealers!)
