It was a PR exercise, anniversary & all that, but nice to hear from him nevertheless. Nice bloke, I like him. It's obvious by now that he is not going to share any stadium plans until he has something concrete. Odd statement about plan b,c,d etc re stadium regeneration, could mean anything really, my guess is that he means they are working on different scenarios/ options for the Mem, rather than land elsewhere. But I live in hope. If the Project Management company now have a project design team in place to build the training ground, then I would have thought plans will be shared soon, so DC might be happier, & we might see some gems coming through the ranks.

imo it was a good honest interview in which he states several times he has no regrets in buying the club. That's good enough for me to believe he will deliver in time. What I didn't like was that fans gave him grief over the apparent lack of signings on transfer deadline day. Why do that bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbelters!

I thought it was a good interview by Keith, I kept thinking 'ask him this, ask him that' and eventually he did. Wael was very diplomatic but at the moment it's all behind the scenes hopefully we will have more trust when we see things happen. Sadly he didn't ask the one question I wanted him to 'Look Wael Al the Pirate will be 70 next month, will he ever see anything happen!!

Good interview and pretty honest answers. It is clear that the owners take nothing historical for granted including the stadium plans and projects over the years. It’s all being done diligently and from scratch. I don’t really see an issue with that actually and I trust that it may be better for us in the long run that we wait (again) for now. Good interview though. Shame about the idiots on twitter.

So good planning by DC to get players lined up within his budget? It doesn't mean he didn't want better quality if he could afford it. As far as this interview Wael doesn't actually say anything of note does he? It's about time he let 20men ask him some searching questions instead of just being interviewed by one of his club's employees. Why hide behind Geoff Twentyman? You're clearly the brains behind the operation why don't you ask him some questions and then you'll know for certain his answers aren't "staged managed". He's frequently at away games and if you can't make those I often see him behind the West Enc about 30 mins before kick off. So come on then. Let's have The Topper Report. Why don't you ask him to meet me next time you see, as I don't tend to hang around behind the West End with my autograph book anymore? Although I sense an interview with GT on the radio might be a bit more popular with the masses than one with my recorded on my smartphone.

You're the one who complains about everything because you find it confusing. Have you ever considered that the problem is a bit closer to home?

Last time we heard that things were happening in the background and that Wael is a nice bloke. Now we have heard that things are happening in the background and Wael is a nice bloke. We are moving forward.

I thought the interview was ok. The questions were better than the answers, because the questions said something many wanted to hear, and the answers were just "as you were".
I don't really understand the love-in on here with Wael after that though. He's obviously a nice guy with good intentions, but we knew that already.
I can perfectly well accept him popping up every couple of months to say that things are progressing in certain areas, and saying that he can't comment on others.
But speaking to Keith B occasionally does not in itself make him a good owner.

It would have been good if KB had sneaked in the question " If Rovers by chance made the playoffs and won them and as such gained promotion. Will the club be able to fulfil the expectation by the football league that the stadium be all seater within three years "
Other than that ,it was affirmation of previous answers and so consistency . Very respectful when asked about the clubs financial position before they took over . Its a long journey and one they are looking forward to. We want to take the club places.
If we have patience we will see things improve over the years at the club. I feel that things will appear to move very slowly for a year then things will speed up dramatically for a few years.
In five years time D.C. will be signing a contract extention at Rovers at the clubs up and running training ground. Before leading the team in a practice session in preparation for that Saturdays championship home match at the newly opened Al Qadi stadium.

Its not far fetched that the colony is finished in under four years. After all the club own the land have some planning consent and have project managers running the show now. The stadium...well assuming its on the mem site. The club already own the ground ,finance we are told is not a problem ,previous planning consents have been given for a new stadium at the mem. So a new stadium on the site in four years time is not beyond belief by any means. D.C. signing a contract extention ,well with the above two completed and championship football why wouldn't he ! Championship football in three seasons time....just needs a slight improvement here and there in the squad and its very likely to happen.
It gonna happen.

One problem with your vision is that I can't see DC hanging around at Div 1 Rovers for 4 years with, is his words, a bottom 6 budget just to see at best a training ground built.

I understand you questioning DC hanging around at League 1 but I’m not sure that is a danger. Sure the club needs to meet his ambition but were the things that were talked about did actually happen I think DC would be happy. I’m pretty sure that us and DC are a good fit. He likes the way he is allowed to manage without too much interference or even others above him with responsibilities that he thinks belong to him. Yes he comes over in interviews as a bit grumpy sometimes but I never take it seriously. Recently over the Barnsley and Leeds vacancies although some on here were worried I never saw DC seriously mentioned as a serious contender. The Crowleys at Lincoln and Ainsworth from Wycombe were mentioned (blimey, if anyone thinks Ainsworth is a better manager than DC I’d be amazed but some obviously do), so I’m not sure that DC is as highly rated nationally as we do on here. Long may that continue. Were we to show no ambition and no improvement then I think you would be correct but if we continue to improve the team and the infrastructure with some plans that DC is aware of even if we aren’t then I think DC will be happy. A good fit as I said. UTG!

Under your interpretation, things are predicated by nothing happening and then it suddenly appearing aft the 4th year. As I read the suggestion, it would be incremental improvements over the four years. That would allow revenue streams to be increased year on year which DC would start to benefit from after the first year. It doesn't have to be all or nothing.

It struck me as strange that Wael didn't mention redeveloping the Mem. It sounded to me that there was something else in the pipeline.
Just the way he answered the stadium questions seemed a bit odd.
