Hi All,
After some info if I may...
I have a job this evening that I can't get out of unfortunately! Having said that, the job is only around the corner from the ground and as such I am still planning on trying to get to the game..
I suspect by the time I finish the job and get to the ground it will be half time pretty much. So my question is, does anyone know if there is some sort of reduced rate for entry if you arrive late?
As I am only going to be able to catch half the game I was rather hoping I might only be charged half the cost for the pleasure.. Anyone got any ideas on this??
Thank you in advance for any help you might be able to offer.

I don't think it would be in the club's interest to encourage fans to watch half a game of football....
So I think that'll be a no....

I made it clear to the steward on the entrance to the west stand that I wasn't trying to sneak past him, he phoned someone and they came back with the answer of half price. Make sure you've got the exact money on you as they may not have change.

I think that would only be available "unofficially". I have some vague recollection of doing it but getting on for 20 years ago now.

If they do happen to do this then I wish someone had told me on Saturday!

A few friends who have found themselves in the same situation in the past have told me that they that have quite simply slipped past stewards at half time in the past without any fuss... I am not keen on doing so myself! Would rather give the club a few quid.

Back at Eastville in the late 60's they would turn a blind eye to kids going in at half time for free but those were different days...

If they do happen to do this then I wish someone had told me on Saturday! Considering we score 85% of our goals in the second half I reckon there would be thousands trying it lol

I paid for a whole match but the first half barely qualified as football. Would have got better value for money paying for the second half only

Given that we play pretty boring stuff in the first half of games why don't the club offer half game tickets where you are allowed in at half time?

As all the gates are locked how would you slip past a steward to get in at halftime? :-)

Before the game I would roll around in white dog sh1t in Eastville Park.

They open the gates at 3/4 time to allow fed up and disgruntled fans to leave. In the 60s I would finish work at 7.30 and get to Eastville about 8.30, there would be quite a crowd on the slope at the Muller Rd end, you could see about half the pitch from there. At about 8.50 the gates would open and we would go in free.

They must have a reduced price scheme at Ashton Gate, it would explain why the ground empties at half time. “BOOOOOOOOOO what a load of rubbish”

The players used to train on Eastville Park as well in the 60's so they must have had similar experiences to you.
