Better a than a fan who gloats when we lose Not too sure what the correct definition of a is, but I think a fan who gloats when their team loses must be close to it.

We played some lovely stuff in the first half, which was nice to see. We stopped worrying about the pitch and played to our strengths. Was an odd one today - it was a reverse of the norm: played brilliant first half and were relatively hopeless in the second half. That said, we started the second half where we left off. For me, the turning point was when their defender brilliantly cleared Sercombe's shot off the line with the keeper beaten. Thought Northampton offered little threat aside from their scorer, very poor team. Had we had our scoring boots on it could've been a rout.

Bennett was excellent They were better when Pereira replaced JJOT, his forward passing was very effective. We were so dominant and such the better team. Disappointing to have one stole from us, but we've done that a lot this season so we can't complain. Gaffney had a mare. Some of the interplay between bennett, lines and sercs was pleasing on the eye. Another goal conceded from a floated ball in the box. Our fans - we keep the ball and pass it around the back and there's disgruntlement and shouts of "get it forward". What's wrong with keeping the ball and probing without lumping it?! Also about 5 rows behind me a punter was slagging off Byron moore, whatever happened to supporting the quarters? In general it's a sign of how far we've come in comparison to the cobblers who walked the league a few years ago. UTG You're right, we should be playing it out from the back and with slocombe in goal I thought we did that well today, if you look at the size of the opposition they were huge, so why lump it forward, we were never going to win it in the air. Slagging off any players who come out in the quarters is stupid, we should be getting behind them. UTG

We are struggling to put the ball in the net in recent games - we sadly haven't got Taylor and Bodin anymore who we could rely on for that so much. Think DC needs to find another gem to support Ellis and Sercs next season. Our CBs aren't likely to chip in with many goals either. We played some nice stuff - and outplayed Cobblers for most of the game. Cobblers are still in trouble and you can see why after what they served up today. Hopefully, Rovers can take out their frustration on Argyle next week.

Very frustrating not to win that game but a bit of perspective required here, were 9th in the league 4 points off the playofffs with 10 games to go ? At the start of the season I would have bit your hand off for that! Unfortunately I don’t think we’re quite good enough for the top 6, but we will be stronger for next year and have a right good go at it. Wouldn’t it be nice to start the season off strong for a change and then we would take some stopping! I’m still loving it and at least the doom & gloomers have shut the f**k up! UTG. Frustrating it certainly was I would add to the perspective required here bit by adding what an easy league this would be if we had that bit of quality, could have been only two points adrift and knocking solidly on the play off door, good enough or not that’s big bucks for any business, unfortunately it seems when it comes to big bucks we are not interested, our cup runs seem to prove that point this season? we are a very average side so very close to making a financial impact.

Disappointing. Their scorer only joined them a couple of days ago too.Could have done with three points today the way other results have gone and with tough games to come. Yep and strikers we sign need about 15 games to score

I wouldn't have bit your hand off at the start of the season -was expecting us to be around this position but after October/November most definitely. Too many ups and downs from us this season - hence all the wins and losses (6 at home - Oldham, Donnie and Wimbledon).

You will always get these types of games. The same targets are available to achieve in the league just one less game to do it in.
9th spot is about the level the team are at currently. Without sounding ungrateful to the current strikers at the club, one maybe two more are required . Preferably ones who can aim a shot that goes on target (even if saved) and win heads from attacking corners.
evolution still happening.

That was the best I've seen Bennett play so far.

I said this a few weeks ago, our strikers do not win enough headers in the opposing penalty area. This has got to be addressed in the summer,we need a beast of a targetman up front to play along side Ellis...it simply would make a world of difference to our play.

Spot on Russ, our corners are nearly as embarrassing as the Mem itself. Purely down to our lack of heading ability not the quality of the delivery.

It doesn't help that our central defenders offer no threat at set pieces either. No body ever attacks the ball.

I would like to point out this is website for fans opinions, they are fans that go to the games and take the time to write their opinions... So if someone doesn’t think so and so isn’t performing it’s their opinion so I really don’t see why people on here are getting on their backs saying stop slagging players off? If everyone had the same opinion this site wouldn’t exist and everyone seeing things differently makes the game so magical and always nice if someone feels the same as yourself!
I know you can’t win on here and most of the pages on here is dribble and mainly someone makes comment and 3 pages later your scrolling through sh** jokes but I guess that makes the good stuff worth it when you read a good topic or suggestion...
Rant over! and please don’t let the boring narrow minded hypocrites get on your back if your stating your opinions...

No surprise to see us suffer to a headed goal again. Not difficult to know what to target when you see Craig and Lockyer lining up at CB.

Anyway my opinion is the team was right apart from Craig centre back as we should have played Broadbent or Sweeney so we had height at the back and threat on set pieces,
Right back is still an issue as parts is great on the ball but jockeys way too much and they saw the weakness there straight away.
Gaffers had a shocker and a game to forget along with Harrison
Bennett was a sigh of relief as it nearly felt like billy was back in spells

No real complaints about the performance today, great football in first half , just lacking finishing touch, continued in second half but tailed off a bit last twenty mins , wished we had a winger on from start cos they were there for the taking, but we are suspect on r/h side of defence, much as i like Parts but not at right back gets beaten to easy, Bennett superb , all in all good positive game , much better than some recent home performances, onward and upwards !

Personally disappointed with the result but not the performance, 1st half was as well as we've played at home for a while. Game changed when they brought the sub on that scored the goal he was a real handfull. Still a game we should have won, we'll play a lot worse and win. Bennett looked good at the top of the diamond he has quick feet & is capable of beating players in tight areas. Agree Gaffney although he worked hard struggled today I'd like to see Telford given a start alongside Ellis.

www.11v11.com/league-tables/league-one/10-march-2017/www.11v11.com/league-tables/league-one/05-may-2017/Interesting comparing last season at this point vs the end. We're in essentially the same position as we were last year. The teams ending up in 5th and 6th were the same as they were in March, which gathered up 15 points and 20 points by the end of the season. This is still doable but a big ask and we need to hope Plymouth start to 'do a Millwall', Scunthorpe keep haemorrhaging their advantage, and we pick up 7 wins or 6 wins and two draws. The most interesting thing though is the points haul which suggests lower 70s might be enough.
