Slocombe 6 Let in 3 which he couldn't do much about. Great penalty save, but lacks physical presence for me.
Partington 5 Very mixed bag littered with mistakes, exposed second half by Plymouth. Lockyer 6 Misses a big defender next to him, gave away pen with needless contact which gave poor ref a decision to make. Should have scored. Craig 6 Assured but lacks physical presence. Would like to see him at left back. J. Clarke 6 Beaten on a cross for first goal which came about when he attacked and couldn't get back, resulted in a corner. Otherwise ok.
Lines 8 Ran the game for long periods, great goal and all round performance. O. Clarke 6 did ok, very unlucky with deflected goal. Sercombe 7 decent game some great touches. Instrumental in our first half dominance. Sinclair 7 Plymouth couldn't handle him first half, took a few knocks and faded second. Bennett 7 In and out of game, unlucky not to score second half shot was top bin, defender blocked well.
Harrison 9 MOTM He was a thorn in Plymouths side, great defending from corners and ran his socks off. Goal was pure power and determination.
Subs: Bola 5 Gaffney 5 Nichols 5
Crowd 3 Lots of belters hitting their own. Ref 1 Shocking performance swayed by a home crowd. Plymouth 5 didn't deserve to win, changing point in the game was when Harrision was tussled to the floor at 2-1. We did not come out first 10 mins of second half, we were shocking in that period. Plymouth were very weak defensively on the day, just feel if we had a clever striker in the mould of you know who we would have won quite easily. Their manager was a complete bellend at the end, no class what so ever. We gave it a right go it just wasn't our day. Still felt proud of our team at the final whistle which couldn't be said for some of the knuckleheads in our end.

Slocombe 7 Couldn't do much about the goals but did save a penalty.
Partington 7 Think that he's starting to make up a nice partnership with Sercombe. Plymouth didn't know how to cope with them for a while. Lockyer 6 If only he hadn't scuffed the ball that fell to him near the end. Craig 6 Solid. Starting to see what the fuss is about. J. Clarke 6 A right footed player playing LB is always going to difficult and it showed, did have some nice moments where he pushed on before cutting inside with the shot but largely got ganged up on along with Bennett.
Lines 5 When Lines scored our opener I turned to the person stood next to me and said "Great Lines always plays well when he scores" but was then proven wrong in a game where he seemed to slow down our attacks, also seemed to give away the ball a lot by trying fancy flicks where simpler passes were on. O. Clarke 7 I don't tend to rate Ollie Clarke (Admittedly I didn't see many games last season when he was supposedly superb) but he really impressed me in this game. Broke up attacks and kept the play ticking over. Unlucky with the deflected goal.
Sercombe 7 After a dodgy opening 10 minutes, he kicked on and oozed class whenever he got the ball. The type of player that will help us push on in this division next season. Sinclair 7 They had no idea how to deal with his energy and so resorted to kicking him all over the place. Seemed to work as he faded towards the end, which helped Plymouth when breaking. Bennett 6 Mixed afternoon. Points where he was unplayable and other points where his refusal to go with the simpler option hurt us. The best example being when he broke 2 tackles and charged forward only to lose the ball by trying to take on one too many when Sercombe was completely unmarked with a fairly straight forward through ball.
Harrison 8 Superb. Playing as the lone striker is a tough job but he showed all the requirements of playing the role yesterday. Strong, Quick with an eye for goal. Plymouth were just another team who had no idea how to deal with him which led to the goalkeeper pulling him down twice.
Subs: Bola 6 Thought playing a left footed player on the left side gave us some options on that side and allowed Bennett to cut in more as their defenders had to be wary of the overlap. Gaffney NOLE Nichols NOLE
Crowd 90% of fans 8 10% of fans 1 Ref 4 Would've probably got a decent mark for the majority of the game but the fact that he got most of the major decisions wrong is inexcusable. Plymouth 5 Going forward one of the better teams we've seen this forward, although they seemed to lack much cutting edge (Odd to write that in a game where they scored 3) but at the back they were all over the place. No communication between the defence and keeper allowed Ellis to run all of them ragged.

Results in and Ellis Harrison is Man of the Match for the 12th league game of the season.
Before the game, Harrison was actually going through his longest MotM drought this season. He had gone six games without being MotM, although he was runner-up in four of these.
This was the 12th lowest referee rating in these threads. However, six of those lower ratings came in the Conference. The only lower rated referee in a League One game was the 1.0 awarded in the Bury away game last season.
The starting XI average was 6.39. This was the second highest for a defeat this season. (After the 6.71 in the Blackburn game)
Slocombe 6.3
Partington 5.9 Lockyer 5.8 Craig 6.0 J. Clarke 5.8
Lines 6.7 O. Clarke 6.3
Sercombe 6.9 Sinclair 6.5 Bennett 6.2
Harrison 7.9
Subs: Bola 5.7 Gaffney 5.0 Nichols 5.0
Crowd 5.5 Ref 1.8 Plymouth 5.4
