See what happens when you play with 11 men and not ten men and a child Some might see this as a childish comment. good for them!

Nichols and Telford are similar in height, but Telford is much more aggressive, gave their defenders a hard time, scored a good goal. Bennet was very good and our best creative player in the final third. If we play two up front at Fleetwood it's Ellis and Dom for me.

Or maybe, just maybe Byron has now managed to put his brothers death behind him and is starting to enjoy life and his football, can't think of anything worse than walking into a room and finding a loved one has taken their own life.

The fact is. He is a water poor finisher. Haha remember when you used to say that about MT? And his ratio of simplechances missed/goals scored back up that. You know it as well as I do.

I wouldn’t say Nichols has had many more chances than Taylor did before banging them in. I think MT must’ve started every game up until that November. Nichols has started 3 of our last 20 league games before today. He’s barely a regular is he? that’s because he lost the ball which led to the goal and generally is far inferior to Dom Telford but dc is too stubborn to realise this. Hopefully today will open dc eyes and now start with telford

Telford reminds me of a young Billy kee,( let's hope he can be as prolific, small but a real fox in the box who knows where the net is). His goal today was superbly put away without a second thought. Sometimes strikers can over think and over play the only chance that comes their way,but today he seized his opportunity and buried it with an instinctive finish. But will that be enough for DC to give him the nod to start at Fleetwood ?

His pace and movement allied to his directness is far superior to anything that Nichols had to offer.

If he has then fair play to the man, but he only seems to start showing any interest when his contract is up and is facing L2 footy at best, on a lower wage. Surprising how many players play better near the end of their contracts..

Yes, I think Dom will get a start at Fleetwood and think he will offer the guy a contract if released by Stoke and if Dom does sign next year then I can see Tom getting a six month loan to someone like Exeter or Cheltenham to see if he can recapture that knack he once had of scoring goals.

Mental how everyone around me blames Nichols all the time, the whole team have been sh**e that’s because the other players have shown something previously and we have faith - I have no faith in Nichols! I’d rather have Paul Tait up front!

The game played out as I expected really, a tough battle and one, on the balance of play, we deserved to win...just about!
I don't think anyone particulary stood out, although I'd say Bennett was deservedly MOTM.
Nichols had one or two chances, but his confidence seems to be low (for obvious reasons) and he got knocked off the ball too easily for my liking.
Telford came on, looked lively and took his goal well...hopefully he'll get more of an opportunity between now and the end of the season.
I thought Bola and Mensah had poor games today unfortunately. Both of their crossing was wayward (apart from one beauty from Bola) and Bola looked shaky in defence on occasions.
A win is a win and we keep our slim playoff chances alive. Another win on Monday is a must...Onwards and upwards...
