Maybe I am a bit of a softie but I did feel for Bury when the ref gave us that pen. Also been keeping on for ages about Telford deserving more chance. I really like the look of him and he would be far more productive than Nichols. Nichols did look like he had a bit more about him yesterday but ultimately he didn't produce. I think we might win Monday at Fleetwood too. Whilst all the other teams struggle with juggling their team over easter weekend, we change ours all the time so I feel it affects us less. The fact there are 2 places up for grabs gives you that very, very minor hope while it is still mathematically possible. Yeah, Nichols was a bit better yesterday but the gulf between him and Telford looks huge. DC saying Nichols was excellent on the radio after the game is worrying. Telford looks far more aggressive, harder working and much more of a goal threat. Not sure that DC saying Nichols was excellent is worrying, as such. Is he not just managing his player, who is low on confidence? Edit: just noticed that Wearethegas said the same thing! Serves me right for not reading the whole thread first!

Not sorry for Bury. It was a soft penalty, but a penalty nevertheless. If you make clumsy, half hearted challenge from behind, in the box, then it is likely that you are going to get what you deserve... or you get lucky. a challenge.
I did feel a bit sorry for Tom Nichols - as a human being, and also just a little bit for him as a professional footballer whose livelihood depends on him scoring goals. People say his confidence has gone, well I don’t suppose yesterday did much help. Being subbed forTelford who promptly scores less than five minutes after replacing him.
I also tend to agree that he is too soft, but if DC wants to stick with him then surely that’s something that can be worked on?

I don’t necessarily agree with it but that’s the way football has become.

While I didn't think it as a penalty we were mugged off big time a couple of weeks back so we're owed a couple. Also Bury at times seemed like they couldn't be bothered to defend so a winner seemed inevitable.

so we should v the bottom club, poor performance like the Northampton game I’m dreading Wigan,Blackburn & Charlton games we will get found out v them Play offs are about as likely as relegation it’s not happening, the few that get interviewed with Geoff after the game I don’t know what game they were watching Geoff even said a city fan said young Ollie has got a future in journalism, think he was being sarcastic What do you expect Barcelona style football week after week with players plucked out of the conference and players that suit our budget from other clubs ,we could lose too any side in this league but also beat any side. Take a rain check PP we’ve played some good football some bad and been indifferent but well placed for what DC’S budgets allowed him a good season overall imo I don’t think he’ll be with us next season I’m afraid then you’ll have something to moan about. The Wigan,Blackburn and Charlton games are a great challenge for the players and us fans will be looking forward to those games win lose or draw they will be up to it I’m sure. haha never heard you moan

Maybe if you turned up to see some positives then you would. As long as you enjoy turning up to whinge and hate your Saturday afternoons though, carry on. You’re only ruining it for yourself. less of the f**k*r

They travelled all that way, were delighted when their team took the lead, only to see their side eventually lose. I noticed, when Linesey scored the pen, that some of their fans started to leave. They'd seen it all before, had travelled in hope, only to have that hope dashed. We've been there, and I had to feel sorry for their fans. Just think back 4 years; we shouldn't really gloat, relegation is effin horrible. manchester Is just down the road from Bury, yet those folk have chosen to support their home town team. Best of luck and respect to them.

Yeah, if you think Rovers fans are loyal, with just the sh**e to contend with, locally, imagine the temptation for prospective Bury, Rochdale, Oldham, Stockport, etc fans.
