Slocombe 7 - Quality save in first half, did nothing wrong Partington 6 - Poor distribution, had better games Bola 6 - Lacks something can't put my finger on it Lockyer 7 - Solid, Wales experience is doing him good Craig 7 - Steady game Clarke 6.5 - Played on the edge following his early caution Lines 7.5 - Only complaint was his water poor corners Bennett 8 MOM - Was dangerous every time he got the ball Mensah 5 - Struggled in truth Nichols 6 - Tried but just not going for him Harrison 5 - Was poor to his standards of this season
Telford 7 - Was an irritant to the Bury defence Moore 7 - Good little cameo made a difference
D.C. 7 - Could have changed it earlier Ref 8 - Thought he was one of the better ones Bury 3 - Poor
Dogged win though game had an end of season feeling. Sorry I do not think we have any chance of the play offs and fear D.C. may tinker with his teams between now and the end of the season. Onto the next project (think we will struggle at Fleetwood) UTG

Slocombe 7.5 One outstanding save and also came out to punch ball away
Partington 6.5 Defensively sound, good link up play but awful crosses Lockyer 7 A no-nonsense game Craig 7 Am beginning to warm to him Bola 6.5 A bit shaky but good attacking play
Mensah 6 Raw and gangly....one for the future (hopefully!) Lines 7 Worked hard to turn game around O. Clarke 6 Stupid booking early in the game. Doesn't look a happy bunny. Bennett 8.5 Has time, makes space, uses the ball positively
Nichols 6 Just doesn't look like a goal scorer Harrison 6.5 Not his day
Subs: Moore 7 Made a difference Telford 7.5 Looks like a goal scorer...actually he is! Hungry
Crowd 7 9,030 On the quiet side Ref 6 Ok...gave us a penalty, mustn't complain Bury 5 Stayed in the game longer than we should have let them.

Partington - 6.5 - got forward well but lacked end produxt Lockyer - 7 - solid game Craig - 7 - as above Bola - 7 - got forward well, looked an athlete
Mensah - 6 - mixed game, more to come from him Lines - 7 - kept the game ticking over, well taken pen O. Clarke - 7 - hungry and better with the ball Bennett - 8.5 MOM - a real danger every time he got the ball. Unlucky with shot that hit the bar
Nichols - 6 - it just doesn’t run for him, more imvolved than usual though Harrison - 6 - not at the races today
Subs: Moore - 6.5 - decent cameo, commites defenders Telford - 7 - got to be starting more games

Slocombe 7 a good steady game Partington 6.5 worked hard, a good footballer but today his crossing was poor Lockyer 7 comfortable but same wayward passing Craig 7.5 organised the defence well Bola 6 average Mensah 6 a bit of everything,he has a lot to learn Lines 7.5 strong game, good penalty O. Clarke 6 early booking took the wind out of his sails. Nichols 6.5 some decent touches but yet again didn.t look like scoring Harrison 6 poor by his standards Subs: Moore 7 made a big difference Telford 7.5 he's a natural goalscorer ...play him from the start Darrell !! Crowd 6 good numbers many who were soaked by the awful weather Ref 6 decent Bury 5 relegation written all over them.

Slocombe. 8. Worldly in 1st half. Dominant all game. Partington. 6. Defensively good, Crossing awful but always took up good positions and didn’t shy away. Lockyer 6.5 Building good partnership with Craig. Distribution still poor. Craig. 7. Leadership that we needed, settling in nicely. Bola. 6. Defensive positioning questionable, seems to take and age to get back from attacking runs. Mensah 6. Some nice touches, will improve if given game time. Clarke 6.5. Thought early yellow affected his game, poor distribution. Lines. 7. Good all round game, except corners. Bennett 8. Far and away best player on the pitch. Looks great signing. Harrison. 7. As per worked socks off. Nichols. 6. Decent game, good work rate and not scared to try his luck.
Telford. 7. Hopefully more game time will follow, good cameo. Moore. 6.5. Didn’t do much wrong but doesn’t look interested to me. Gaffney. NOLE
DC. 8 Ref. 8 Bury 6.5 Crowd. 6

Mensah 6 shows potential. Lines 7 shows composure. O. Clarke 6 show us some past form. Bennett 8 m o m showboater!
Nichols 6.5 hmmmmm. Harrison 6.5 hmmmmm.
Subs: Moore 7 nice touches. Telford 8 touched us all nicely.
Crowd 9 amazing turnout. Ref 9 amazing turnup. Bury 3 amazing turnip playing like someone's had a turnout.

Slocombe 7 one great save, good all round performance.
Partington 6 crossing atrocious but didn't go missing. Lockyer 7 Assured at the back just struggles playing out from the back. Craig 8 Organised and competent. Bola 6 some good moments some bad, does not bust a gut to get back into position which frustrates me.
Mensah 6 some good touches, but looks lightweight and probably needs a pre season with us to get fully bedded in. Lines 7 not his best today but put away pen very well. Is he effective in a 2 in L1 is my concern. Corners frustrating. O. Clarke 6 mixed bag on a tightrope quite early. Battled to the end. Bennett 8 MOTM great touch and always a threat. Gave us that bit of quality.
Nichols 6 did ok unlucky not to score Harrison 7 worked hard unlucky not to score
Subs: Moore 6 good impact Telford 7 great impact deserves more game time.
Crowd 5 quiet and cold woke up last 10. Ref 6 slightly fussy but gave us a dubious pen. Bury 5 battled but should have been put to the sword.

Slocombe: 8. Did nothing wrong. One great save. Shades the no 1 spot.
Partington: 7. Good player. Crosses not his usual standard but by no means a bad game. Lockyer: 8. Consistency back to his game again. Forging a partnership with Craig, although combined lack of height has potential to hurt us in certain situations. Craig: 9 (MoM). Immaculate and assured performance. Cannot recall him putting a foot wrong. Quality signing. Bola: 6. He's ok as back up, but nowhere near as good as Brown, either defensively or with his crosses.
Mensah: 6. Flashes of quality but still quite raw. Enough on show to suggest he's a good signing for the future though. Lines: 8. Kept us ticking over. Always available. Not sure we appreciate him enough - if he played against us he'd be highlighted as the quality player he is. Clarke: 7. Poor first half but improved after the break. Not quite hit the heights of last season, but still a young player. Bennett: 8.5. Very close to MoM. A threat throughout and so unlucky not to score when he hit the bar. Another quality DC signing.
Nichols: 6.5. I so want him to succeed as he can clearly play. Today he did reasonably well, but ultimately will (must) be judged on goals. Next year is a big one for his future here...just hope he can make the most of what opportunities he gets. Harrison: 7. Worked hard and never made it easy for Bury.
Subs: Moore: 7. Decent performance. Byron's an enigma. He clearly has talent and some performances of late make me think he can be a part of our future. And yet, the majority of his 2 years here has been, well, underwhelming. Worth a one year deal? Telford: 8. Prior to today, I didn't understand the hero worship of a player that the majority have seen only 10 minute cameos from. Today however, I see it. Took his goal so calmly when he could have been forgiven for snatching at the chance and was a menace throughout. Reminded me of a certain Jamie Cureton. Worth trying to get him here. Gaffney: nole. I do like Gaffers and would hope he is still here next year.
Bury: 6.5. Poor defensively although not without quality at times going forward. Ref: 6. Overall quite good, if fussy at times. Would have given a higher mark but IMO he got the one major decision he had to make wrong. Not complaining though! DC: Got the subs spot on again. What this man has done for our club cannot be overstated. Legend.

Took his goal so calmly when he could have been forgiven for snatching at the chance and was a menace throughout. Reminded me of a certain Jamie Cureton. Been thinking this for a little while. I've seen him in a few Development games and he has the unteachable knack of being in the right place to score goals, and tucking them away. It's something that Nicholls seems to lack.

Slocombe 8 - did everything right Partington 6.5 - defensively sound, 3 or 4 poor crosses which is odd for him Lockyer 7 - comfortable Craig 7 - comfortable Bola 6 - lacking confidence for me
Mensah 5.5 - didn't offer enough Lines 6.5 - not enough surges and better in a 3. Cost us the goal but arguably without conceding it was a 0-0 and he clearly knew that we needed to concede to win so actually a masterstroke. Decent pen.l and still has the touch of class. O. Clarke 7. Booking didn't help him but thought he broke a lot of attacks up and battled well and kept his head, in a 2 with Lines can't be easy as lines is more of a luxury (no disrespect) Bennett 7.5 - comfortably our best footballer. First half was different class. Quiet second half though and we need him to be producing for 90 minutes and not go missing. Still MOM for me though.
Nichols 6 - worked hard but just lacks that spark Harrison 5.5 - had a lot of praise this season but today he lost every header, missed a very good chance at the back post (easier than it initially looked), and didn't seem to be up for it.
Subs: Moore 7 - added energy. I don't think he's a great footballer but he's quick and direct and there's definitely room for him at the club. Telford 8 - imagine if you could combine Nichols' work rate and footballing brain and Telford's raw finishing ability.
Crowd 3 - so quiet. Back in the day the place was rocking, the first murmur of a song was when they scored. Ref 8 - got every decision right Bury 4 - relegation

Slocombe 7.5 No mistakes, one great save and only flapped a couple of times
Partington 6.5 Busy performance, always in right place but couldn't cross for toffee (usually his strength) Lockyer 6.5 Tidy enough and covered ground well - looking for the man too much these days (got caught at Plymouth for that, I was in the home end incognito) Craig 7 No nonsense performance as usual Bola 6 Good coming forward but slow getting back sometimes, lacks determination which is frustrating given the skill and athleticsm
Mensah 6.5 Out of touch to start with but kept trying and managed a few good turns and runs, promising future hopefully Lines 7.5 Worked hard all game and has the ability to look up (sometimes) but when he doesn't he can be a pain (like their goal). Stepped up with a class penalty O. Clarke 7 Timing was way out early on then got booked. Did well to control himself rest of the game and still broke up a lot of their attacks. The hardest worker on the day Bennett 8 Class act with superb first touch and awareness. Made both goals, had Bury pooping themselves every time he got the ball and he won the ball for himself many times
Nichols 5 Sadly out of touch, flashes of skill but nothing happening all season Harrison 6 Sadly out of touch, flashes of skill but nothing happening today after being our biggest threat all season. Hope you are fully fit and back to form Monday Ellis.
Subs: Moore 6 Okay but lacks directness at times Telford 7 Took chance really well, cannot teach being in right place at right time like that. Nearly got in another couple of times but too deep in added time, we needed a man up to snatch 3rd (the snake would have scored)
Crowd 5 Far too quiet for much of the game, we make much more noise away Ref 6.5 Okay performance mostly but too petty sometimes but let Bury get away with murder on throw in positions. Got the penalty wrong - even if it was to our advantage he loses a point for that. Bury 6 Considering their situation they played half decent football at times and were pressing hard at the end

Slocombe 7.5 Great important saves plus good distribution
Partington 6.5 Very good apart from very bad (unbelievably bad) crossing Lockyer 6.5 Was involved a lot but distribution often poor. Missed a good headed chance. Craig 7 Very steady Bola 6 Average dispay
Mensah 6 Looked to have ability. One for the future. Lines 6.5 Lots of effort and good penalty. Bad error for their goal. His corners were not up to the standard of those by Bury. O. Clarke 6.5 Mixed bag. Early booking did not help. Bennett 8 Had a quiet spell in the middle but a class act. If he can toughed up and not get bullied against better teams then he will be a very good player.
Nichols 5.5 Not a bad game but had chances to score. Not sitters but there comes a time where your top strikers have to put away at least one or two more difficult ones. Harrison 6 Did not appear fit. Had one good effort which was saved but quite quiet apart from that.
Subs: Moore 6 useful input Telford 7 made a difference. Has a striker's instinct.
Crowd 6 quite quiet for most of the game Ref 6 average. Thought that the penalty was soft. Bury 5 Not very good and we should have despatched them more easily
