If you can find a club that introduced electronic ticketing and had the cut off later than what Rovers have given us, go ahead. Please, I really would want to know. Who has new kit in stores now? In our league of course, even City haven't yet. I spoke with a work colleague who is a season ticket holder at City and when they changed system he didn't have to wait six or so weeks for a card to be delivered. Regarding replica shirts I'm going by previous threads on here where we've had summer open days with no kit available and that stretching well into the season. I'm not going to spend hours of my weekend trawling through other clubs websites to try and win arguments on a football forum. If you want to feel free. Well then let's assume that the club are doing things for the right reasons rather than assuming they are doing things wrong? My default is that the club are doing the right thing.

Most people who want an ST will probably have got one by now. As for how long ot takes, who cares as long as it is here and works for the first game.
I would prefer the club to take its time and close it early and make sure everything works, as we all know the fuss if it goes wrong will be.

Couple of points re season cards:-
Once the cards are issued there shouldn’t be a delay in issuing new cards to new season ticket holders. Most clubs sell them again at the half year point and clearly there can’t be a delay at that time. So, new season card holders in the future should get their cards quickly.
The card once received can have seasons and cup matches added to it, so you shouldn’t need a new card every year.
Other clubs also offer membership cards to non season ticket holders and matches can be loaded to the card.

If you want to call it slating fair enough but I'm generally quite positive on all things rovers, especially when the manager and players get unfair stick. Must admit to losing patience with the ground as we are nearly a year on from UWE being cancelled and no clear idea on long term plans but that's another debate! I bought up the season ticket issue because I normally renew early but this year I can't and would like to renew later even though I know it's more expensive. I still don't see why it should take so long to produce the new tickets and therefore have such an early deadline. Anyone in the same position as me or someone deciding nearer the season to get their first ever season ticket may get turned away. Surely that's not good? I raised the kit issue as we've had major problems with this previously and the problem lies with a third party provider and I wonder whether we'll be let down by a third party provider again?

I’m sure you will have no problem buying and receiving a season card in time for the first game even if you don’t buy it until the day before the game. See my post above.

Didn't read your post until I'd finished mine. I hope you're right as I still want a season ticket - those wet cold evenings in the uncovered East terrace will be hard to motivate myself for if I had to switch to pay on the day!
