Indeed. RIP Roy. I happened to meet him a couple of times and what a lovely man he was. Wasn't aware he played for Rovers though? Any idea when that was? I know he played for City either side of the 2nd World War which he was also in the Royal Navy during. |

According to the Official Chelsea website "he was signed onto the groundstaff by local club Bristol Rovers as a 14-year-old, before quickly switching to neighbours Bristol City a year later due to financial problems at Rovers." RIP Roy. |
